Do you prefer writing angst threads over fluff threads?

It does seem to happen more often, eheh. But I think it depends on my mood. Angst is nice for cracking down on character development and the like, and just kinda fun to write, but something calmer and fluffier from time to time is always nice. I do worry that fluff might turn into a one-sided or silly thing in which the characters themselves stop mattering, though uh, that may be because of my aversion to romance.

For disturbed characters, does your muse have any redeeming qualities?

Mister Purple himself had a redemption arc or two back in the day. He does have the capacity to get very, very attached to people, though he doesn’t like to admit it. While it’s not often he properly meets strangers, he has a hard time turning down someone who looks like they’ve hit rock bottom. It’s much easier to murder people and whatnot when you stay detached. He questions a lot of things near-daily, his own motives and justifications included, but is very good at hiding it. Sometimes he wonders how a sad boy who only wanted to open a bakery got this far.

Wilson Hayes is a very paranoid and hostile man, but he cares. Being prone to anger around strangers, he says whatever he can over the phone or through recorded messages; hence Phone Guy. Morally, he’s much better than the purple man.

I do have a slightly secret second purple guy also. His name is John and he is Scum™. Irredeemable.

Do you have a go-to angst partner?

Not on tumblr, but there’s people to whom i regularly offer all kinds of rp shenanigans.

What do you think is scarier, watching a horror movie or reading a chilling story?

Movies I guess, but only because I’m a weenie. I can take reading and writing all sorts of things, but it’s all downhill from there once things get visual. I’d argue horror games are the scariest, honestly.

Are there any horror or angst tropes you really can’t stand?

I don’t like the whole ‘one day he SNAPPED and then haha murder how crazy’ kinda thing. I realize I write a murderer character, but like, you gotta make them act & grow like a person, not like a romanticized creepypasta. And don’t forget to research your mental illnesses and health conditions so you can write them properly!
