Karson considers, just for a moment, how funny it would be to prove that Jim's only half right. By many standards, he is exactly the demon he was accused of being. He's also not in the mood for a fight with a being his senses are failing to parse, so he decides his best course of action is simply letting this one go and rolling with the assumptions. Not too bright, this one. Good. He won't have to work as hard to maintain cover and civility.
Thing is, the Khazen doesn't know about earth to realize a giant talking worm is weird, either.
"Counting." he tips his head towards the stacks of crates next to his shuttle. "I was loading up to head out, but I realized that things aren't lining up. I'm not about to be used for smuggling, and I'm certainly not going home empty-handed for reprimand, either." He was smart enough to jot down where he was before being so rudely interrupted, so he hasn't lost count entirely. "Care to help me make sure the contents of these crates are really as marked?" The writing on them is all in an unfamiliar language and script, which might complicate things.
