Part of me wants to finally draw his face as a bloody missing hole, and another part is like... if he's dreaming himself to life, I imagine he would have some control over it, right? He recreates his face the way he imagines he used to look, but... he's lost his mind, and how well would anyone really remember their own face without mirrors and cameras anyways? Maybe he's recreated his face into something completely unrecognizable to those who used to know him. Every time he's defeated and reborn, something changes just a bit more. He may have arrived at an appearance that bears no relationship to him (but that's a different talking heads lyric lol. I might explore this train of thought a bit more later)
