I might be stupid but I searched up this question and I didn't find anything about it but what's the meaning behind the design of Dagoth Ur's mask? Like the three eyes thing I understand (enlightenment/he prob actually has three eyes (if he even has a face) since the Ash Vampires do) but is there a reason why his mask also has those 3 spike(?) things? And is there an actual reason both him and Sotha Sil have that Egyptian postiche? Like is there actual lore reason? Ik irl it symbolized divinity but is that an actual thing in TES or any references to the false beard symbolizing anything in universe? Are postiches even mentioned at all? Is it possibly a reference to the Dwemer since they both kinda have relations to them in a way? Sorry if this is stupid asf and idk if anyone's actually gonna see this but I was trying to draw Dagoth and his mask is giving me trouble and then it got me thinking 😭

Fic Summary:

In the ancient days of Resdayn, Sotha Sil is rescued by a passer-by when Mehrunes Dagon destroys his home and family. Little could Sil know how an Ashlander named Vivec would alter the trajectory of his life: denunciation of the Daedra, life and marriage among the Dwemer, and eventually rising as a councillor to the King of the Chimer—all culminating in foul murder. And with that betrayal the wheel turns, like clockwork, to the Tribunal of Morrowind.

Sometimes I think about how Divvy fyr says that Seht’s only true equal was Nerevar, i know the fandom tends to portray him as an idiot himbo. But I think he’s more of a fool himbo. He acts more stupid than he is.

Vivec: then Neht has to like you. And we have no intention of letting you get close enough to him for him to like you.
