12th Nomination Night
Disclaimer: Below is my opinion based on observations and credible information. Feel free to add your own. (Long Post -- enter at your own risk) START RANT Bakit nominated si Seiichi? We have 4 Reasons: 1. He does not show his anger 2. He does not say much of his opinions 3. The one banana, 2 bread rule 4. The awkward quietness These are the reasons of the Housemates, but let me tell you, does it ONLY apply in Seiichi or they selectively choose Seiichi as their target to focus the points to him to make sure their "clique" is safe. Let's look at it shall we: 1. He does not show his anger - This is against as their Definition of "pagkakatotoo". Why? Are all Big Winners needed to show his/her anger continuously. Have we established that Seiichi is not that type of emotional person. Rather, he is a logical thinker. He does not let emotions ruin conversations and moments for him. What do you mean, he does not show anger/depression? Have they forgotten the Pamu-Confrontation, where Seiichi overflowed with emotions towards his co-housemate and created awkwardness inside the house? He regretted that action and moved one from that. Why can't the housemates accept there are these types of people? Because of their cliques are quite the opposite of Seiichi and they think their characteristics are the social norms. Look again! The past Big Winners -- Nene, Bea, Melai, Keana, Kim and etc.. they do not emotionally react like that. It's not part of their characteristic -- unless it's really challenged? 2. He does not say much of his opinions in front of the housemates - Have they ever thought that Seiichi may not be the vocally opinionated? Unlike Deniesse (sorry for her fans), Seiichi does not conclude and create juvenile conclusions on certain events. He is not that type of person where everything, has an opinion (negative). He does give positive opinions in certain times. (give credit, where credit is due) Here's the thing: they might believe that Seiichi is not that type of person that confronts them with opinions. Let me ask this question, whatever Seiichi asks/says to them or to anyone in HM's, most of them are from the confession room. That's how he think. Whatever he said to Big Brother are his opinions - are indeed very little and in comparison, the one he gives outside the confession room is also fewer. How about the other housemates? Speak up Slater and Divine (sorry Slavine fans), what you say in the confession rooms or within your cliques, why not share it to the rest of the HM's. That's what Paco has been challenging the whole time. That's why he called those guys, "plastic". They don't give opinions to the people in front of their faces, instead they use Big Brother as their channel of emotions. Hypocritical? I highly think so. 3. The One Banana, Two Bread rule Seiichi was called selfish in this scenario (last week from Carlo, this week from Divine). It is bad enough that Seiichi was PUBLICLY, I repeat publicly humiliated by a KNOWN celebrity in GLOBAL television. Why repeat the same reason, weekly? Seiichi hides his food, was talked about long time ago, with his co-housemate. He is hungry and he does not eat with the other HM's in the table. His eating time is different and by then, the food would be finished. Why can't he ingest something sugary like a banana, if its his favorite? I have even seen Seiichi just eating rice with Banana ketchup? -- he likes banana. The thing is, calling Seiichi selfish in this scenario is LOW. Argument is weak and invalid. For example: Tin, Divine and Kevin are said to be "matakaw". In the Live Stream, also they eat a lot and with bigger proportions compared to the rest. They have more rice than Seiichi in daily basis. They are the ones who are selfish as they don't proportionate food well. Then, a simple banana and bread scenario in one certain week was their reason to target him? Is it logical? Is it fair? -- NO! it's not fair. The issue was raised 2 weeks ago and should have died LAST Week. But No, divine and other housemates, has to raised it up again. Did he repeat it? Did he do it again? No, but why do Tin and Divine are still allowed to be gluttonous to their everyday meals and Seiichi is penalized with his "previous" ones? Justified -- NO, this is beyond unreasonable 4. The Awkward Quietness Bakit kaya quiet si Seiichi? Two Reasons: 1. Hindi daw siya nakikipagusap. 2. Language Barrier Mageffort kayo. Kung si Eting (a non-english) speaker can communicate and create a bond or closer friendship with Seiichi (a non-tagalog) speaker, why can't the other housemates do the same thing. This is because there IS NO EFFORT from them but ONLY CONCLUSIONS that they're drawing. If you talk to Seiichi more, Seiichi will listen and open up more. That's the whole point of communication. The language barrier is BROKEN if the communication process is STRENGTHEN. But no, the HM's has to conclude that Seiichi is a social outcast where no one can understand him. How can you understand him if you don't give him time to talk, and try to understand his words? Just the other day, Slater was commenting on Seiichi's answer on why he wants to be a Big Winner. He said it's too political, a beauty pageant answer (he added with Deniesse). Why did you conclude that if you don't know Seiichi's true intention? Who knows, when this show is over, he might be a charity worker and an avid helper in other organizations. Seiichi has a good heart and they have no right to conclude that way. Other thing, try to socialize with Seiichi more. He's not a clown where he gives jokes, you laugh. He gives smarts suggestion, you CONDESCENDINGLY praise him (in a sarcastic way with no sincerity). Then nominates him, with such a shallow reason. Seiichi can only do his part on trying to engage in conversation. You have to allow him to talk to you guys and possibly OPENLY respond. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! SO I conclude this MY definition of "pagkatotoo" is : a) being true to yourself b) True to your principles c) True to your words d) A good reflection on the Filipino values and culture The other housemates may have 2 of them, But i believe seiichi (and another housemate) has ALL of them. ~A.J.
