the bus stop

Try not to stay too late tonight, hyung.

That was the last message Yoongi got from Namjoon several hours ago.

Now, Yoongi stretches, sighing softly as he drops his hands and rolls his neck. After quickly checking over his work one last time, he hits save before shutting his laptop. He gathers his things, glancing at the clock and grimacing at the time.

He’s stayed too late, again, and if he doesn’t hurry, he will miss the last bus home.

Slinging his bag over his shoulder, he hurries out down the hall and the stairs, waving over his shoulder at the security he passes on his way through the lobby. He checks his phone and breaks into a run, only to slow to a stop after he turns the corner.

The bus pulls off with a loud hiss, followed by a plume of exhaust as it rumbles away. Yoongi watches the bus turn the next corner before he bends to rest his hands on his knees. After taking a moment to catch his breath, he walks over to the bus stop shelter which is now empty.
