3, 11, 19 for the language asks :D
3. Do you attend classes? Or are you self-taught?
self taught! I'd taken mandatory in-school classes for a few languages as a kid but even at the time I was teaching myself others in addition to those ^^; as of now I'm doing it entirely on my own.
11. What CERF level are you currently at in your target language?
korean - B1, swedish - A2, ASL - A1
my swedish level is so low considering ive been speaking since i was a child tbh. been stuck here for years
19. Are there any similarities between your native language and your target language? Any key differences?
!! English and Swedish have clear similarities both being germanic — most notable differences personally in my time learning have just been a bit of a different word order and some phonology (i still struggle with that swedish i alot of the time TT). They're similar in aspects but more different than people like to pretend they are overall. Cousins not siblings
I suppose as near a significant similarity you could get between english and korean would be loanwords, tbh. a fair amount of english words have been adopted into (south) korean (alot is slang tho). Korean being an isolate makes it different enough than even those close by (I have seen argument it —along with japanese—could be considered a part of some proposed language family, though imo just because it may be related or similar to those languages doesn't mean it's a part of it). If i keep talking about it though it will never end so ill stop here but ofc big ones are things like writing system, phonology, grammar overall ;;
anyway thx for sending the ask <3 TT I'm writing this at 5 in the morning and I have not slept so if it was incoherent sorry.
