      she blinks, & he keeps talking nonsense.  this deflection ticks annoyance under her skin.  she needs silence, here, to focus, instead of his tangent reeking the atmosphere.  yet, there’s a final tactic, deciding on it within an inhale.  during the exhale, her figure disappears.  emptiness fills the void once leaning on the wall.  except she’s still there, only taking two steps away from her original spot.  time to watch his reaction.

        “    if you’re looking for a quick fix around here,  you’re not going to find it.    ”    the way this guy dressed and behaved made him seem like he was strung out.    not that he hadn’t dealt with people in this state before,  but it brought up unpleasant memories.    “    but i’ll tell you this.    if you sit here and calm down a little,  you can have a couple free drinks.    ”    unbeknownst to this guy,  they were going to be non-alcoholic.        /        @seions.
