Hey! Strange-ish question, I am going to a summer camp and I would like to tell my consulers(I can't spell) to use they/them pronouns on me. Also, my preferred name. Do you have any tips?

-rehearse it in your head, this helps w me, or even write out a draft if you plan on texting! Or even rehearse what u will say to a friend, that way you have some feedback

-try to mention it when u first meet them like “Hi nice to meet you guys! My name is ____ and just by the way my pronouns are they/them” this way right off the bat its known and theres no awkward deadnaming or misgendering later

-dont be discouraged if they dont get it at first and gently remind them if they use the wrong name or prounouns, I’m sure they have a lot of names to learn so it might be an honest mistake.

-openly be you! whatever happens just remember your identity is your own your name is Your name and that is how it is whether or not he counselors like or not
