Just where are they though?” Pouting, Taokaka flails her paws over the edge of the bench, fussy. “How dare they tease Tao like that, Meow! Tao’s gonna find em even if it take all of Tao’s skills, abilities and perserv...ere...ance...” Quickly, she pulls herself up from her seat suddenly pumped up and filled with eagerness. “I’m Gonna sniff mew out! Meow! Then we’re gonna Play!!! Mew Hear Me?! WE’RE G- Meow?” Her paws drop to her sides, as if hit with a revelation. This smell... This was a weird smell... A familiar smell, one she’s certain she’s never smelled before. Strange.

She doesn’t finish her sentence before she’s off the bench, letting her nose guide her. Putting all her past thoughts behind her, her mind fills with the thought of who the smell even belonged to. “Scruffy Man? ...Nooo... Not sweaty enough... Shivers? Nyope. Antenna Girl? OH! THAT’S WHO TAO’S SMELLING!! ...But no! This smell isn’t her either! Mrrrooooough!” She grips the sides of her head, rubbing her temples. “Ohhhh This is giving Tao a headache! Meow! Who Is This?!” Getting a look around the area, she’s found herself in a busy street now. Just where was that smell coming from?! And who?! It takes a split second before Tao finds herself on the concrete, knocked down from the traffic of the sidewalk. “OW! HEY!! Owwwww... Tao’s butt’s gonna feel that tomorrow... HEY, WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOIN’ MISTER!”

“You coulda busted up my butt, Meow!” She sniffs at the air again, glaring at the man in red who knocked her over. “You... You... Mrow?” That smell again and it’s so strong now. One more whiff and Taokaka finds that the scent is coming from this stranger. Curious. “Heeeeeyyy... Do I know you?” She doesn’t wait for him to answer before approaching him, staring him in the eyes. “G... G...”

" Now, where did I put the peanut butter at...." jumbled sentences and words are only able to be half made out from underneath the mage's breath as she busies herself with the task at hand. it was often that Ritsuka would hijack something from the cafe kitchen to experiment and today, she is doing this for someone else. "Ah! There it is!"

she doesn't need to look to see the half-judgemental, half-horrified expression that Ragna has on his face from his seat behind the counter as she lops in at least half a pack of crushed bacon behind the peanut butter into the blender. all the while, she hums happily to herself when putting the lid on and hitting the button. it whirs to life, mixing the ingredients and putting out something of a sweet and savory scene,t which only makes that smile grow wider.

" Hehe, all done!" lid cast away, the milkshake poured into the appropriate glass and topped off with a straw and bacon bits as a garnish, she lides it over to Ragna, resting her chin in the palm of her hand. " Go on, give it a go."

Few understood the life that Jubei had been forced to live shortly following the Dark War and end of the Black Beast. Those that did were...unfortunately the people he last wanted to experience the same. A sad state of affairs, truly. Well...he had to trust them. The least and, far more despairingly in his case, only thing the hero could do. What good’s saving the world if you can’t even protect your loved ones?

Perhaps after that whole mess of gods of death, Azures, and fighting...he might find some rest here. With that came getting familiar with the snowy city and its festivities. What seemed to be a tropical area was now covered in snow. Lo and behold, after all this time.. He spots a figure in the crowd that brings a grin to his face instantly.
