Cats out of the Bag. (Event Plotting Call!)

So, you wanna be a cat and legendary hero, huh? Here’s some things to keep in mind:

Prevailing feelings of guilt. Survivor’s remorse, estrangement, you name it. Like, daily.

Longing for family and lost clan, most especially brother, wife, and daughter.

Some trauma sprinkled in there with the Dark War and facing the almost total annihilation of all things on Earth against a hellish beast. Copes with this surprisingly well however, through introspection.

Obsessed with catnip. This legendary hero is a junkie.

Cravings for fish as well, and a good knowledge of cooking all kinds of food in an outdoor setting!

Somehow has a martial art around using two paws and tails with blades interchangeably between them. Also has claws under his massive jacket. Good luck figuring that out! (Fortunately he only has two shortswords now-)

Learn what it feels like to have a transplanted eye and an eyepatch (did I mention it’s your brother’s?)

Forgot to mention this- You train a lot. Weird cat based exercises like jumping on a series of trees back and forth and the like. Keep that physique up!

That’s about all for now, I’m sure.. I’ll cap this at three for now! I’ll poke into IMs and twitters if possible to figure out what to do goin’ forward.

Bouncing between worlds. It’s quite the exercise. The endless struggles of dreams and remade worlds. Jubei’s spirit was torn between the ages- Days passed of peaceful days of him and his brother training and living out amongst their clan when he donned the name he was given at birth. The advent of the life-stealing Beast, the war against it and the forming of his lifetime comrades. And finally peace once again after so much sorrow...the start of his new family.

Yet that could not last! Crummy world, all thing’s considered. But there’s a lot of things to be thankful for, and thinking too hard just makes a mopey tom. Times like this, Jubei thought of his wife.. How was she able to bear it all? Was it just that esoteric madness, spurred by the distortion of the Boundary?.. He couldn’t accept that. She had pause for a moment...something at the front of her heart, no matter the madness. Before she even knew the joy of her own family..

“..Hm?”

Ah, that’s right. On this stroll, pondering in the frigid land. What the hero was failing to consider while he thought about his past. The familiar figure with her massive guardian. The hope his love felt before the hell they all went through, same as him. Almost made him instinctively reach for his eyepatch-

“I can’t see how this rickety city is deservin’ of having you keeping its streets safe, Celica-chan.”

More and more nice things are turning up for this old feline.

Few understood the life that Jubei had been forced to live shortly following the Dark War and end of the Black Beast. Those that did were...unfortunately the people he last wanted to experience the same. A sad state of affairs, truly. Well...he had to trust them. The least and, far more despairingly in his case, only thing the hero could do. What good’s saving the world if you can’t even protect your loved ones?

Perhaps after that whole mess of gods of death, Azures, and fighting...he might find some rest here. With that came getting familiar with the snowy city and its festivities. What seemed to be a tropical area was now covered in snow. Lo and behold, after all this time.. He spots a figure in the crowd that brings a grin to his face instantly.

“Think fast.”

The swordsmen went for his pupil’s legs, dashing past him to sweep him with both of his tails! Mischievous old man he had become, indeed.

Jubei was a man adaptable to any situation. From the quaintest little canyon to the ends of the nightmare of the world, life dragged him where it wished. For all his passion and emotion, greater than those who’s emotion is their innate quality, he couldn’t change a darn thing. The weakness and guilt is soul-crushing for an old tom like him. Nevertheless the silent persistence had him trudging on. The fight was all he ever knew.

Now after all that, a snowy city for his troubles! Who woulda thought? Not to mention feeling as flabby as some leftover okonomiyaki, hardly able to wallop a large gator. Hard to catch a break these days. At least there seemed to be festivities. In an attempt to lift his spirits and get positive for the frigid weather, he passed by the odd sight of...sled foxes?! Seems animals were as peculiar in this world too. The sight of couples happily sliding across the scenic land of ice too. Giggling, hugging, the works. Yeesh. Hard to be keep stoic there...definitely not one for jealousy in any regard, but the burgeoning somberness had to escape the feline’s body through a sigh. Least it wasn’t the first time he’d be reminded of his former life...a happier time.

“Huff. My fur’s gonna stand on end if I stay any longer.” Furrowed whiskers. He lifts up his collar to warm up his freezing nose, turning around mid-strut-

Huh. That’s odd. There weren’t many fluffy pink things he was acquainted with here. The aroma of roses, firm but flowy locks. The hero gazed upwards and-

“...Wh..”

Both tails spiked up and pupils dilated. His little feline heart skipped a beat. If he didn’t know any better he’d lost a life. One out of his..
