Unexpected affection ( if one could call it that ), the uncharacteristically SOFT gesture is enough to rouse suspicion. silver brow quirks as emerald eyes fall ‘pon soft features of SLEEPING STARLIGHT.
tuft of raven locks tickle at exposed neck, but she hasn’t the HEART to move, despite discomfort under the weight of her companion; perhaps, beneath icy porcelain exterior, she has a semblance of CARE for their precipitous leader, and the exhaustion that plagues flawless feature doesn’t go unnoticed.
a sigh, and silver star resigns herself to status of PILLOW, her lip pouted as she lets head rest lightly atop partner’s. it’s a moment’s reprieve ( one to be denied even on DEATHBED if repeated ), as she allows them both a needed break.
just for a moment.

emerald hues would widen, stopping her d e a d in her tracks. Did she hear the other CORRECTLY ? Her body would tense slightly before taking a deep breath. She needed to push forward with this fight against GALAXIA, no matter what. This was the final fight.. Everyone was counting on one another, and she couldn’t let the TEAM down for just having COLD FEET. Clearly, the reassurance was needed.
❛ .. Thank you, SEIYA-KUN. I won’t let them hurt YOU, either.. We are in this TOGETHER ! ❜
Marry Me?
Had she ever been this nervous before? She had everything planned, from the dinner, to the carnival trip, to the walk along the beach afterwards. She really wanted to surprise Seiya after all the wonderful things he did for her lately. With the way things were now, she knew that she’d never be this happy with anyone else — not even Mamoru.
Not that it mattered. She hadn’t heard from him at all lately, and was glad of it. Instead, she focused on the ways Seoya made her feel whole again.
So, as she watched him walk towards the outdoors restaurant with his jacket draped over a shoulder, she blushed deeply and prayed her pastel pink dress looked okay, as well as her odangos. She really wanted tonight to be perfect for him. For them.
"Yo~! Odango!" she heard his velvety voice call out, making her smile as she waved towards him. His grin was just as wide, taking in her natural beauty and the way that the warm breeze moved her golden hair. "Looking beautiful as always," he said, taking her hand and kissing each knuckle as she melted inside. Removing the sunglasses from his face, he kissed her sweetly on the lips before joining her at the table for their meal.
All he knew was that they’d be having dinner then a little date. Other than that, he had no idea what else his minx of a girlfriend had planned. He was simply happy being away from the studio for a few hours to spend time with her. Their conversation was light and carefree, their meals delicious and more than once Seiya snickered to himself while she would spill things onto her chin or napkin from nerves.
As clumsy as his Odango was, he loved every bit of her.
When it was time to leave, Usagi dragged Seiya over to the nearby carnival, which lit up the darkened sky with all sorts of colored lights. Seiya got them both some cotton candy while they played some games, reminiscent of their awkward date a year before, yet no where near as bad! It was nice how the two of them could just be with each other, although Seiya had to cover himself in some ways so they wouldn’t be crowded around by fans.
It seemed like Usagi was off throughout the evening, too, like she was hiding something from him. A part of him worried that she was sick or didn’t want to be with him anymore. He was being ridiculous, of course, but he already lost her once to that jerk that betrayed her. What if he lost her again?
Usagi blushed while she led him to the beach that was beside the carnival; there were going to be fireworks soon and she knew that would be the perfect time to initiate part three of her plan. Seiya was relieved because he could finally take off the sunglasses completely and as he held his shoes and socks in one hand, he dipped his feet in the cool water of the ocean. Usagi followed suit, her heels dangling from her fingers as she giggled. Her laughter was the sweetest sound to the singer’s ears — unmatched by anything else in this universe.
"What’s the blush for, Odango?" Seiya asked, finally unable to hold back his curiosity over his girlfriend’s odd behavior.
Looking up, Usagi smiled as she admired the moonlight above them. “The moon is really pretty from here, don’t you think, Seiya~?”
"Hm?" he blinked, distracted by her question as he looked up. "Ah, yeah, it is. But not nearly as beautiful as you are," he replied as if it were basic knowledge. "You’re ignoring my question, you know."
She giggled again, shaking her head as she took his hand and squeezed it.
"The moon looks so big and almost lonely up there, but you know what comforts me about that? Seeing how protected it is being surrounded by so many stars." Seiya stared back at her as she turned her head, smiling lovingly at him. "Just like you protect me, Seiya. Like you always have. To me, you’re the brightest star in the sky."
"O-Odango…?" he murmured, taken aback by the intensity in her gaze. She approached him, nervousness in her eyes but also warmth and hope, as she nibbled on her lip and smiled softly.
Taking one of his hands, she could hear the fireworks setting off in the distance, coloring the sky in vivid reds, blues, greens, and whites. “Seiya, I know this might seem a little backwards, but I wanted to surprise you.” Usagi opened the starlight’s hand, resting a small box in the center of his palm. He glanced down at it in confusion, opening it with a gasp.
Inside sat two different rings; one was ashen silver, broad and masculine, while the other was a slender type of white gold, with a star-shaped yellow diamond in the center. “Seiya…I know our lives have been pretty crazy, and I know that you’re super famous and probably could get any girl you want—”
"I only want you, Odango!" he interjected, her mind racing as he didn’t know what to do in that moment. She placed a finger against his mouth to shush him before she continued.
"I know. That’s why…I’d really like it if…um…Seiya, will you marry me?" she whispered, sucking her lower lip between her teeth. "See, I got you two different rings, so you could wear one around your neck when you perform, and the other one you could wear as Sailor Star Fighter. Is that too much? I can take one back or—"
His lips crashed against hers, pouring every single emotion of love and passion into it. Wrapping an arm around her small waist to pull her closer, Seiya left a trail of soft kisses along her jawline until he reached her ear.
"Yes, of course I’ll marry you, Usagi.” Tears spilled down both their faces as happiness illuminated them as much as the fireworks overhead. Drawing back, he nipped her nose before he slid one the masculine ring on his finger. “But I hope you know that this means I have to come up with an even better proposal for you! I can’t have my bride-to-be without a ring!” he said with a grin, making Usagi laugh and smack him lightly on his chest. “Oi~! This is what you get for being with a star,” he said, before pulling her in for another passionate kiss.
So, It's Been a While...|| @ kouseiyas
It was unseasonably chilly for summertime. It made her hug her jacket to herself a little tighter as Usagi walked down the street to her favorite park. There was a vendor outside this time of year who sold the best-tasting meat buns. She was planning on indulging in one, since she hadn't eaten much all day and she was starving.
After making the order and smiling softly at the children that ran around, Usagi walked into the park and sat on a bench. Would she ever have that in the future now, with everything so different? Her mind was still reeling over what happened...breaking up with Mamoru after the Starlights went home left her feeling horribly empty.
He had been so upset with her about Seiya in particular, and with the stress of school and having been revived for the third or fourth time, he needed space. From Japan. From her. So he set off for America once again, telling her that if he changed his mind, he would call. That had been six months ago, and she had yet to get even an email from him. It was so lonely without him around, feeling hollow and unlike herself.
A few minutes passed before she bit into the warm, sweet and salty bun, closing her eyes and humming in delight over the treat in her hands.
