please , take your seats . we are very eager to get things started with you today before the fun festivities . come on , sit , sit ! ah , look at you all , splendid . we really did a good job with this group , didn’t we gang ? alright ! we definitely will not keep you long , today is your first day of the rest of your life ! exciting , isn’t it ? we always start off with some fun orientation things , but this year we’re going to make sure to spin it up a notch ! since we have all arrived on such an amazing holiday , we’re going to postpone the first ever orientation & allow everyone to enjoy their first days in the good place with some halloween festivities ! no need to worry , details will still be provided to you , but i’m sure you are all very eager to meet up with some of those you know within the crowd . well , hurry it up , fellows ! in a snap this downtown area will be crawling with halloween events & you want to make sure you’re dressed the part !
with basically the snap of some fingers , you’re back into the home you’ve been resting in prior to the orientation assembly . you look & see a pair of black jeans , matched with a pumpkin shirt . reluctantly , you put on the outfit to blend in more , not wanting to cause a scene if you’re not dressed properly . soon enough , janet appears on your television screen , telling you that you’re welcome to join downtown at any time . damn , that was fast .
you slowly make your way back downtown , watching as everyone is rushing towards the square in hopes to find their loved ones . will you be able to find anyone ? once you step foot in the downtown area , you are almost shocked with the decorations . there’s orange & black streamers all over , the froyo shops have only those colours for your faovurite treat , there is bobbing for apples , a haunted house consisted where you hear young women screaming then giggling as they rush through the hallways . there is an area for flying on broomsticks , & you must say , there are some people that are already getting the hang of it . drink specials , halloween themed snacks , there’s even a pumpkin carving contest .

welcome all !! we are super excited to open . the admins thought since it is spooky szn that we’ll open with a spooky szn event !
within play , it will take place solely on saturday , october 31st . but outside of the roleplay , we will allow this event to go for a full week ( ends at 7pm EST november 7th ) .
you are free to continue threads after november 7th if they are deemed necessary but once we are at the end of the event , we ask that you don’t make new starter pertaining to it .
there will be an information / fun plotdrop at the end of the event that will give you more information about the good place / how they got there / etc. so don’t worry ! just allow yourself to enjoy the fun little event !
one thing to keep in mind is that everyone here , despite their species on earth , are dead . this means vampires / werewolves / etc. can enjoy food / drinks like a normal human .

good evening members ! this is your formal heads up that activity checks will begin once again sunday , january 10th . under the cut is a few things you need to know / keep in mind .
we have changed our activity limit - we will be giving warnings every seven days with an unfollow on the eighth day of inactivity .
we will be keeping the forty - eight hour posting time for new members , including allowing intros to go towards your activity .
if you have been inactive for over ten days by sunday , you will be instantly unfollowed - otherwise , you will be given the warning to post within twenty four hours .
if you are unable to meet the deadline , please let the main know as we will be taking hiatus’ again . just let us know when you will be returning & we’ll add you to the list .

hey , all my fellow cool cats & kittens , under the cut is going to be some information regarding activity as well as the new event that will be hosted in the good place .
o1 . event
so after a lengthy time to put in your votes , it has been chosen that we will be doing a new years eve event . this event will be posted prior to it actually happening so that everyone has time to prepare but overall - it will take place over the course of at least two weeks so that everyone in the rp can be involved , although in play it most likely will be over the course of new years eve .
o2 . activity
the admin team has been discussing for quite some time & with everything happening at the moment - including the pandemic , possible end of semesters for people , more hours at work & of course , the holidays , we have collectively decided that we will be waving activity for the month of december & will make sure to get back into the swing of regular activity checks next month . do not be alarmed , you guys will get a fair warning when we will begin activity checks again so that everyone is confident to make the deadline or even request a possible hiatus . there are some exceptions to this rule , though .
although we will not be doing active checks , if a mun is inactive on all characters for over a week , we will be sending out a message to their blog & / or discord just to see if they’re still invested in the rp or if they’re just at a busy stage in their life .
after messaging said mun , we will give them between twenty four - forty eight hours to message us back before we post their unfollow .
this rule will not count for handing in accounts - if an account is not handed in in the usual twenty four hours , the role will be re - opened , but as usual , we will accept extensions if you ask .
upon sending in your account , we will give you forty eight hours instead of the usual twenty four to make your two in - character posts . we will also be counting your intros as activity .
