For this project I was influenced by Swiss posters and their use of geometric diagonal shapes. Instead of keeping them clean and sharp, I wanted to express the effect of the gesture with the streaks in the brushstroke. I made the diagonal lines intersect one another to give the piece a direction and sort of rhythm, not just static lines but still keeping it balanced. I worked in a larger scale, being able to walk around the entire piece.
