Na’vi Avatar

I know they have apps for this but I wanted to try painting it.

I know a lot of people didn't like this movie due to little things like some  wonky CGI  in places or some of the science being off, But I feel like their missing the bigger picture to this movie. It really tells a story about a native people who not only have a spiritual connection to nature and the land, but a physical one also. It speaks to the bonds of people to nature and the harmony the native people have with the forest.

Honestly during the scene where their home tree is being destroyed I cried. It reminded me so much of the native Americans in our world loosing their homes  and sacred land to the Europeans and even of the Dakota Pipeline that is destroying that sacred land. Already leaking thousands of gallons of oil. Harming the earth, Harming our mother. It speaks to how in our world the Na’vi lost the battle, and now big corporate companies are destroying our planet to extract resources  that only benefit themselves, Much the same way the company in Avatar did. This movie was so incredibly deep on so many levels and remains one of my favorite to this day.
