Tonight is a bad night.

So that went really well! I had a lot of fun and enjoyed the movie and huge props go to my friends because the creepy guy who wouldn't stop hitting on me last time was there again and in fact was going to sit right behind me but my friends hid me until I could put on a hat to cover my hair and thus be less distinctive and then one talked to him briefly and reported that he seemed much less aggressive this time and then they kept me distracted until he left and then one of them, who is a straight girl and thus does not feel threatening to me, climbed on my lap and seduced me with bad puns and that made me laugh and relax and I chewed cinnamon gum and that helped me keep from dissociating more and the others were just generally understanding and didn't make me feel like it was weird that I was freaking out and then I started knitting and was knitting well into the movie and so I didn't freak out too badly and even though at the beginning I was hitting my hands with a spoon that I had acquired from a guy who was showing us magic tricks earlier, I didn't start to think self-destructively which is good and I think that having had a really good experience this time has set me up to be able to have a good experience at Rocky and if I can do that, I think a lot of things will feel better and less scary. This was a really good day and a really good night.

It seems that my strange tendency to just forget to listen to music for long stretches of time - although I love music - is actually related to my processing disorder. I don't want to go into the details of how because it's hard to put into words, but I think I've got it figured out.

This makes me angry. All those years I spent thinking I was some kind of freak or couldn't possibly love music as much as I claimed to if I sometimes went a week without listening to any. People have to make everything into an issue, don't they? Stray from the norm in any way and they'll notice. Gods. It's like when someone says they don't like the Beatles or something and everyone goes "HOW COULD YOU" as if they'd killed a kitten. So what if I haven't listened to music in three days? Why should it even matter?!

This fucking planet, man.
