I hope it's useful! Tho it's a pretty old zine of our's and the illustration are a bit goofy. :3

“Riot Librarrrian”, Issue 1, Winter 2002 by Sara & Jenn

This isn’t just one of the best zines I’ve seen on libraries, but it’s also very good at feminism and camp! Look at these pages from the zine. They are GREAT. Unfortunately it is one of one. There was never more? Unless you can find out more for me – lemme know! I am personally invested in Sara & Jenn, two Chicago gals in library school. Where are they now?

“Riot Librarrrian” is a zine that explores information access, cataloging, censorship, library history, recommended reading, and the profession through a riot grrrl perspective. As if that grrrl was studying for her MLS. It includes guides to locating feminist materials using Library of Congress and Dewey classifications and an awesome article about the Notorious Melvil Dewey. I can not tell you how humorous the commentary on library culture is to someone who has lived the life for 30+ years. Funny af.
