1. What drew you to Azris?
Honestly, I was shocked when I first came across the ship. I thought it was a crackship and couldn't believe how popular it was. I specifically remember looking at the ceiling and going "What the fuck?"
But then it made sense--and the ship caught fire in my brain. It's like the twist at the end of the movie that totally reframes the previous ninety minutes. The puzzle pieces fell into place. The perfect enemies-to-lovers. Chef's kiss.
2. What themes do you explore most often in your fics? Do you have a favorite image or location to return to again and again?
In fiction, I love exploring the idea of an unwanted connection and having your expectations subverted. It takes a long time to pull that thread apart and earn the change of heart, so I like exploring kink in my short stories instead :D
In art, I really enjoy the theme of dorito-shaped shitless hotties. Broad shoulders, tiny slutty waist.
3. If you could only write one, which would you choose: Fluff or Angst? Yes, you must choose one.

4. Favorite Azris AU? Why?
Modern or 1900+ Historical AU. The Cold War and modern statesmanship and corporate espionage is rife with opportunity to explore with Azriel and Eris!!
5. Name a favorite Azris fic/art that you've created. Why?
Unexpectedly, Come Back to Me is my favorite because of how much it stretched my skills as a writer. I really tried to convey the way one's life can fall apart when an obsessive idea takes over. It's kind of an out-there fic I guess?
6. Do you have a favorite ACOTAR pairing other than Azris?
Tamsand is delicious. The Azris to Tamsand pipeline is real.
7. Have you worn wigs?
Yes 🥰
8. Will Eris ever wear wigs?
When he finally enters his drag era, yes.
9. What are some of your favorite head cannons about Azriel? Eris?
I feel like my headcanons are so vanilla 😂 Scarred-body Eris. Bourbon-drinking Azriel. There is no innovation here.
10. Why do Eris and Azriel deserve each other?
Imo, they initially would not see each other as "deserving" each other; more like "what did I do to deserve getting paired off with you? 😒" hahaha But I think the parallels between their lives make them naturally fit: daddy issues and nice mommies.
Okay, okay, a more serious answer; they both know the acute pain and alienation that comes from family. To them, one's words, actions, and how one treats others is paramount. For them both, once a person proves themselves worthy of trust, that relationship is cherished. Both of them have and would go through hell again to help those they love, and I think each of them deserves someone who would do the same for them.
11. How do you find inspiration for your creations? (It could be music, other creators---anything!)
I think the Azris community itself inspires me a lot. I think there's a culture of throwing out ideas in the community that sparks a lot of ideas (see: Eris Vanstoola and Candy-Apple-Dick Eris (I swear, I'll get around to drawing this one day)).
I am also really inspired by the world, especially history. Documentaries are rich with new settings to explore: English civil war, 2008 financial crisis, the French revolution. AUs galore!!
12. Have you ever felt creatively blocked? How have you overcome it?
Yes!! I think being honest with what you love and enjoy can help lift a block. I find that blocks occur when you're not enjoying the subject you're creating anymore. I think it's worthwhile to get deep and be honest with what you love. In my case, it was love of smut, honestly.
13. Any advice for a content creator who is working up the guts to share/post for the first time?
Just post it. If it's too precious to you, then write a bad poem and post that first. Then you have the jitters over with. Idk, just have the confidence of a mediocre man. There's literally probably some guy who doesn't care about gay fae out there writing AI slop. Just post it. Done is better than perfect.
14. Are you a long or short haired Eris truther? Yes, you can only pick one.
I used to be short, then I became long. I'm sure I'll one day return to short. It's a circle.
15. If you could choose one court to live in Prythian, which would it be and why?
Sun. I love exploring Wikipedia and I am a lizard. Let me bake on a warm rock.
16. Azriel and Eris are having a silly disagreement. Something about socks on the floor, or dirty mugs in the sink. Maybe someone forgot to let the smokehounds out. Who are you more likely to side with?
Omg keep me out of this!!
17. Who has a worse temper: Azriel or Eris?
Azriel 100%. He'd totally say that he's not mad the whole time too.
18. What are some WIPs or ideas that you’re excited about?
So many. Wild west ABO. Foot fetish. Puppy Eris. 2008 Financial Crash AU. Then some of the Azris week oneshots last year have ideas where I can expand them into longfics. I literally need to stop having ideas. I need to get my fics done. Help. 😭

Here We Go!
1. What drew you to Azris?
Who doesn't love a good snark-to-lovers story?
I loved the idea that SJM wrote breadcrumbs for an attraction between Eris and Azriel that she didn't seem to realize she put in the story.
The High Lord's meeting was just… foreplay, and Eris never reached for his fire to defend himself… as if he would never use fire against the Shadowsinger's burned hands. Then, after Azriel proclaimed he had to be tied to a tree in order not to rescue Eris, he still dropped everything (including Cassian) to rescue the Autumn Heir from their enemies. All while Eris, in Silver Flames, kept thirsting for information on his favorite Spymaster, over and over. Finally, Eris found Azriel (the best spy in Prythian) when he spied on Autumn, making us wonder if there is some type of… bond…? that allows the two to sense each other.
2. What themes do you explore most often in your fics? Do you have a favorite image or location to return to again and again?
I trend towards Azris fluff stories that end in domestic bliss. And favorite image or location? I tend to see the Autumn Court as the land of the Harvest, which includes wine and the crush. Eris in all of my worlds has a winery.
3. If you could only write one, which would you choose: Fluff or Angst? Yes, you must choose one.
Fluff. The fluffiest.
4. Favorite Azris AU? Why?
Any time Eris is a powerful corporate type, and Azriel gets to wear cool black clothes. Yum.
5. Name a favorite Azris fic/art that you've created. Why?
Still Tax Season, my guilty pleasure. And I adore the accompanying art by @thesavagegod. This was just fun, getting to write snark between our two fae in a modern setting. I desperately want to get the headspace to write the sequel.
6. Do you have a favorite ACOTAR pairing other than Azris?
I have a soft spot for Tamlin and Rhysand. Pretty much every story of mine has some background reference to these two having a past romance. I love Tamsand stories and art.
7. Have you worn wigs?
Yes. I look spectacular in wigs.
8. Will Eris ever wear wigs?
Oh no. Not the Lord of Luscious Locks. He will always use his natural hair.
9. What are some of your favorite head cannons about Azriel? Eris?
These two are the most touch-starved, love-lorn, yearning fools who cannot communicate if their lives depended on it. Only when they grasp that it is worth more to commit and communicate will these two realize they have the perfect opportunity for a beautiful partnership.
10. Why do Eris and Azriel deserve each other?
These two are both reluctant villains by circumstance. Eris is trapped in his role as the dutiful son, supporting the worst of the High Lords, Beron. Eris tries so hard to come up with a better future for Autumn, but the cage of his situation keeps him from making any progress. He is smarter than Beron, but not more cunning, which is going to be a problem in removing the current High Lord.
Azriel, who was imprisoned and tortured as a child, was made the Spymaster, which included interrogation by Rhysand. I don't believe that Azriel likes this part of his job, even if he is good at it. Azriel's lack of social skills from childhood, introspective nature, scary shadows, and scarier reputation mean Azriel has difficulty finding connection.
These two, once they start communicating, will find out that they relate to each other the best of all other fae in the world. When these two break out of their respective virtual prisons and work together, they will be a force multiplier for good in Prythian. They deserve this chance at a future.
11. How do you find inspiration for your creations? (It could be music, other creators---anything!)
Prompts, riffing, thinking inappropriately about Azris in work and life… all are inspirations. I have a notepad on my phone for the random inspiration that strikes.
12. Have you ever felt creatively blocked? How have you overcome it?
Oh, heck yes, and right now I am feeling it! When work gets stressful, or my life has events that drain my energy, I cannot write for anything. The only cure for me is to take my time, get some real sleep, and find a quiet space in my day to allow my mind to settle before I can get the words flowing again. Sometimes, that means a hiatus, or a writing break of a couple of weeks.
13. Any advice for a content creator who is working up the guts to share/post for the first time?
Oh, great question. It took me an embarrassingly long time to publish my first fanfic and chapter. Here's a few thoughts:
Don't worry about your fic being perfect or literary art. As you explore writing, you will find that your confidence and talent will grow as you post more.
Find a pseudonym you like and that is broad enough for multiple fandoms. Yes, I love WarriorAccountant - if nothing else, it's a conversation starter.
Find a fandom community that brings you joy and support. If there are folks bringing you down... blocking is always an appropriate decision.
Most of all, if writing is fun and fandom is an inspiration to write, go for it! Why not? As someone who found this activity later in life, I can tell you it's been a wonderful adventure, and I am glad every day I convinced myself to hit "post".
14. Are you a long or short haired Eris truther? Yes, you can only pick one.
Long haired Eris truther. This male knows he's pretty.
15. If you could choose one court to live in Prythian, which would it be and why?
Dawn. Artisans, healers, comfortable living, and Peregryn eye-candy. Second would be Autumn, because there's wine.

Eris. He's always right.
17. Who has a worse temper: Azriel or Eris?
Define "worse". ;)
Azriel has the hottest temper; it rises faster and burns quickly. While the Spymaster holds a grudge, it's not top of mind all of the time; more a function of being around the fae that irritate him.
Eris holds a grudge forever and plots… always. Piss off Eris, and he will use his intelligence and patience to take you down.
18. What are some WIPs or ideas that you’re excited about?
Oh, I have a few… Active WIPS:
I am about halfway through my Omegaverse AU, Project Codename: Metamorphosis. This is an exercise for me to learn worldbuilding techniques without fully committing. It takes a bit more effort to write this one, as I am keeping track of three timelines and writing lore. I love it, even if it is a slower project. :)
The Adventures of Vesper and Hart is a WIP that is fully outlined and just needs my time to sit down and draft the final chapters. This story includes encounters between Eris and Azriel during their field-spy days prior to ACOTAR.
Ideas that are not fully fleshed out yet:
A sequel to Tax Season, where we get to experience the three dates. I have half of chapter 1 drafted.
A Western AU, with a rough outline and a start of the first chapter.
A Collegiate AU, which has a full outline and the start of the first chapter.
And lastly, a folder of stories for The Chairs longfic to go into the Domestic Bliss series!
