The Struggle

I am finding it difficult not to legitimize my hobbies. Like, how I’m spending my time needs to be approved by some omnipotent all powerful force. Shout out to non-profit work for the scars. Nah they can’t carry that badge on their own. TBC

Intention

Intention is everything. 

I’ve learned that, if nothing else, in my 27 years of life. 

And so my intentions are as follows:

Embark on a journey to discover what genuine self-care means for me in every way possible.

Be as free as I can be while doing so.

I deserve a break. I deserve to rest and replenish. I have a right to dedicate time to exploring how I can care for myself like no one else can. I know this is radical. How dare I love myself loudly in a world that tells me my voice is worth less? How dare I indulge in my own care with a history of trauma and abuse? How dare I seek more than the happiness I currently posses in a country that so often shows me my life could and should be worse? 

This is how. With my words I am bold, radical, fearless, unbothered and fierce all at once. The eagle cannot sore in a cage, but is sure can raise hell until it is set loose. I will be free. Let’s gooo.
