The importance of being authentic
at its heart, being authentic means: figuring out who you are, accepting yourself, and being true to yourself.
sometimes self care is hard, because it means facing things you’d rather pretend aren’t there.
but think, if you admit you have weak areas, you know what to work on, and you know what parts of you need more love and nurturing, if you accept responsibility for being your best self, then you make better decisions regarding your self-care.

Living authentically might not be easy, but its rewarding. here are some things to keep in mind.
1 balance what you feel and/or need against your actions
2 making value based choices will be healthier in the long run than making choices based on convenience or popular opinion
3 advocate for yourself and your needs and wants
4 dont let yourself be driven by a need to be approved of or liked by others. approval is a powerful drug, but being happy with your valued based choices is healthier for your spirit and sense of self.
