Sketchbook squiggles of my studio window view at sunset a few nights ago. The 2nd pic with the actual view is from this morning so the sky/lighting doesn’t match but still fun to compare. Filling myself with as much inspiration and chill vibes as possible these days. I want to empty my “cup” of past expectations for myself and fill it back up again with wonder, inspiration, and a renewed vigor for creation that is fun again. Art just for me. Art that explores without judgement and pressures. When I find any time in my day to just sit at my drafting desk and look out my window, taking in my new FL views, I feel content and warm inside. Expectations

Me: It is a human trait to have expectations in life. The Latin root of expectation means “an awaiting”. It can also be defined as a belief that something will happen or someone will or should achieve something. The paradox is that we have little or no control over external circumstances or other people, so we are often left with disappointment when the anticipated outcome doesn’t occur. And that feeling of being let down may lead to anger or resentment.
