you looked around and made eye contact with reo. he gave you a small smile and a thumbs up. somehow, that eased your nerves.
the timer started and all of the players, including you started running. as you started running, you heard someone behind you. it was kunigami.
he was staring at you with intensity and focus. and he was fast. you tried to lose him but he won't take his focus off of you.
you saw reo and waved at him for help. reo looked, and for a moment, you felt relieved. that was until he paused for a moment and decided to run away.
you feel your hope deteriorate. before you knew it, kunigami placed his hand on your shoulder. and now you were ‘it’.
you refused to give up. you tapped back and started running. it went on for minutes until you got annoyed and gripped his arm, refusing to let go. kunigami didn't say anything— you were too annoyed to even get intimidated.
once you two reach a certain point and see another player, you let go. on cue, kunigami tapped you back, meaning you're the ‘it’ once again. you didn't dare look back and went straight to the other player. who unfortunately, is barou.
before barou could say anything, you tapped your hand on his chest and ran away. it was too late when barou realized. he chased you but you're too sneaky. he got too angry and was about to chase you again, until he saw kunigami.
barou's focus shifted to kunigami as he started chasing the orange haired guy. you left the area and started wandering. when you saw kunigami, you instinctively crouched down and began moving quietly.
he didn't seem to notice you and was just circling and checking the area. as you peeked your head, you saw him walking around. then, you heard him say, "y/n."
the guy was searching for you. at first, you thought you got discovered and was about to accept your fate, but he continued searching and mumbling your name.
he saw rin pass by at a distance but didn't dare chase down the other boy. you were appalled. why is he targeting you? were you the only prey? is it because you gave him natto earlier? maybe.
you started creeping out of the area, shaking and trying not to make a sound. you went back to the area where ego was. there he is, watching from an iPad and smirking. you announced yourself and he looked up. "i see. you managed to shake him off."
you were about to curse him and tell him that he's the worst boss ever only for the surroundings to warp.
