ariana could actually be henry at this event, so they weren’t going to pass it up even if it meant doing a stupid little dance. they hadn’t told portia they’d be dressing in something more akin to a suit, but they hoped she wouldn’t mind – she was their girlfriend after all and she would be supportive, right? still, they felt uncharacteristic nerves as they approached the hall the ball was being held. they’d agreed to meet portia at the ball rather than going together just to make the surprise a bit smoother. the only clue they had for portia to identify them was a picture sent to her of their mask. they paced the stairs of the hall as they waited, checking their phone every once and a while. they were pretty impatient, but it was a fault most had – right?
