Prayer
Dear Jesus make him better
Make him what I want and need
Amen.
Selfish prayers, prayers that appear delightful,
Spirit-led and selfless
I want good things for you
For the sake of me
I hope for you
So that you can love me
Its the worst of “lust”
The cloaking of its nature
So it resembles love
We paint it as a humble
When all it does is boast
We give it honor
and so destroys loves soul
love desires commitment,
mercy, zeal and hope
love waits and forgives
give goodness when all we did is spit
our hearts bleed destruction and
we confuse it with passion
give lust a break
let love save your prayers.
