The other night
I was covering a shift at my 2nd home store. It was a really crazy night, we had to send someone home and the drive through computers crashed and blah blah. Anyways, we got two people to come in and help us out. It was a really great night after that, everyone was joking around and having a good time.
I go out on my break and see one of the regulars sitting there. She's maybe about 21+, a small cute girl who is always incredibly nice. She's sitting looking through this bag, and she is grinning ear to ear, pulling out all sorts of art supplies. Towards the end of the night, a few partners and I are talking and I happened to mention the girl sitting outside. Turns out that some unknown person had seen her drawing with really crappy pencils and on bad notebook paper. This person went out of their way to go out, buy, and fill a bag with a whole bunch of art supplies; ranging from crayons, markers, pens, construction paper, etc. The girl still doesn't know who did it, but she was incredibly happy and I've never seen someone appreciate it so much. It was honestly the highlight of my week, and it really shows that some people actually do care. A selfless act that made someone's day. She came in at the end of the night and made that person a thank-you card with the supplies she received.
It was a great night.
