Sam is pretty much the poster boy for demisexuality. He had some sort of an emotional connection with everyone he’d slept with (excluding while he was soulless). Every time someone tried to flirt with him, every time Dean insinuated he should get laid, he backed off. My favorite moment is in “Ask Jeeves” when Sam is so, so, so visually uncomfortable with being hit on. He literally shudders at one point. He says he’s “lactose intolerant” when one of the women says women get better with age like a “fine wine or cheese”, which was so hilarious and Sam-like.

Here, here, and here are three lovely posts about Sam and demisexuality which certainly explain it better than I can right now. (It’s late; I’m super exhausted).

I just think, how in later seasons, the only person we see Sam involved with is Amelia, and God, he loved her, and there was really no one else. He gets hit on, he gets shy and awkward and uncomfortable. He’s never the one who’s sleeping with random people all the time. He isn’t the one who flirts to get his way. He isn’t the one who jokes about sex or hits on everything with legs. I really think when Sam meets someone who he really likes, he waits and steps back and takes it in. Usually, the other person always makes the first move, and I think Sam just goes with it because A) he’s genuinely interested in this person, B) he wants to give them pleasure, even though he’s just ehhh-*wavy hand motion* about receiving it, and C) doesn’t plan on fucking them and forgetting them. At first, he was a little more loose with who he dated/slept with/etc after Jessica - Sarah, Madison, and then the doctor from the siren episode. But then after the cage, after being betrayed by Ruby, after losing his soul and getting it back again, he’s extremely strict with who he dates, even innocently, because he knows there’s a chance they could die or leave him.

What he had with Amelia was unhealthy in one of those “we are both broken and we can try to fix each other” ways, but healthy at the same time. They were both emotional crutches to each other - Amelia supposedly lost Don, Sam had just lost Dean, and they clung to each other. Sure, they slept together, Sam slept with quite a few people, but not all people who are demisexual are repulsed by sex.

Sam doesn’t… he just doesn’t date anymore. He doesn’t try to date. He doesn’t openly talk about sex. He doesn’t openly talk about wanting sex. God, look at how extremely bored he looks while watching porn.

I don’t know about you, but I certainly don’t lean over on the edge of the bed and stare at the TV like it’s doing cartwheels while I’m watching porn.

I’m truly astonished as to how disinterested Sam is with sex. Sam’s on the ace spectrum because he’s definitely not on an allo spectrum, and he’s definitely not straight.

it's funny, you say misha is your everything and yet you continue to bash on his show. I'm sorry but your overall of supernatural is false.

Oh hell, where did you come from? I thought you people had forgotten about my blog. Let me see here....

First of all: Misha is not the show. Misha is more than Supernatural and exists outside of that show. Also what I think of a show has nothing to do with what I think of a person. I could think a show is the worst piece of shit ever to slide out of the great ass of network television and still love an actor from that show. Liking an actor and disliking a show they're in are not mutually exclusive. I hope you were sitting down. I know that must have been shocking news.

Second: Yes, I love Misha. I love him very much. Misha and Cas are my main investments in the show, and I want them to be treated well. I want Misha to move on to something better. I don't want him to be stuck on Supernatural forever because he certainly deserves better and has the talent to do better. Part of the reason I trash this show is BECAUSE I love Misha. Loving something/someone does not mean you have to blindly praise and accept everything they are involved in. And I mean, it's not like Misha doesn't take sly digs at the show too. A lot of the crap his fans complain about probably bugs him too.

Third: Perhaps I would be more willing to support the show if it actually treated him well. But Misha is consistently treated like shit by tptb and the fanbase. He's treated as a throw-away actor, left out of important events (yes I'm speaking of the 200th, for starters) and then used as promotion because tptb knows he has a huge fanbase. Here, I invite you to read these posts, which contain a list of just a few things tptb have done to Misha to turn me off their show: [link] [link] By no means is it comprehensive. So no, I will not support a show that treats him and his character as PR and rating bait and has little to no respect for him as a person, nor are they willing to really acknowledge the contribution he has made to this show other than a few "oh yes we can't imagine supernatural without Misha cha-ching" once in a while when they feel they need to grab the attention/interest of the Cas/Misha fans. And hell, some of the fanbase doesn't even think he deserves to be on the show at all. Why would I, as a Misha fan, support a show that has no respect for him or his fanbase? I want Misha to be on a show that appreciates his presence and contribution. You say "his show," but let's be real, TPTB and a chunk of this fanbase think that every true fan of the show watches because of J.2 alone, and certain fans get so pissy when you try and mention Misha's significance and importance (jealously, maybe? ;D I don't know or care.) But yeah no, the absolutely nasty attitude some of this fanbase and tptb has towards Misha and his fans is enough of a turn-off. Just ask if you'd like to hear more of my opinion on this matter, because I could talk all about about the crap tptb have pulled at Misha's expense.

Fourth: I'm honestly so sick of people in this fandom and the attitude that if you like an aspect of this show, you must support absolutely everything or you're not a "true fan," or that you must support the "right" thing. Just...there is literally no reason why I cannot be a huge fan of Misha and detest what this show has become at the same time. Being critical of the show does not make me any less of a Misha fan. A lot of the criticisms I have are because of the poor way Misha is treated. So yeah. Not sure what you were trying to say with the "overall of supernatural" bullshit because I'm pretty sure you left out a word there, but either way, this is my answer.

Fifth and Last: My "overall of supernatural is false." Wow. Yes. Great. Amazing. Good. Such profound arguing you've done there. My entire world view is changed. I must go re-evaluate the meaning of life now. Damn, you caught me. Shit, guess I've either gotta turn in my Misha fan badge or start fapping hardcore to the show.
