So.. Some anon asked me this, and I tried to post it, but tumblr is being quite stupid and won't post it.

Why do you ship "Selvannah"? It seems a bit forced and I honestly don't understand.

Ahh, my dear anon. Well you see, I don't ship it romantically. Well, I kinda do, but not like Royai or Edwin where they fall in love and get married. Actually, it's kind of complicated. They aren't going to fall in love. Or if they did, they wouldn't be able to live a normal life together, seeing as Selim is a homunculus and stuff. 

But..

I don't know. Just the idea of two people, who are pretty much still children, with a special bond like Savannah and Selim do (or will develop in the future), it's something I want to RP. 

Blegh. I'm not good at this explaining stuff.

So why do I ship it? 

I didn't in the beginning. I just wanted to RP with Maria's muse. That's all. Then some people invaded our askboxes. It was quite entertaining. So we somewhat kinda decided to RP 'Selvannah'. We will one day. I hope. :D I ship it because Savannah and Selim both need a friend like that, and the friendship that they are gradually developing is best for the both of them. I think.

Does that explain it?

Maybe one day this answer to this question will change, but for now, this is all I've got. XP

i did ship it platonically, that was definitely the word i was looking for, but it was the first ever ship between one of my OCs and someone else's characters, and maybe i was too excited about it and i overdid it because i WANTED to ship it but hey it never really worked out and yeah

So you really aren't coming back?

Savannah bent down and gently placed the bouquet of flowers on the ground, in front of the headstone. "Selim, you idiot." She sighed sadly. The cold slab of rock read; 

Selim Bradley, loving son, caring friend. 

She had been staring at the same exact words every single day, a reminder of the guilt she felt. If he really was a caring friend, maybe he wouldn't have burdened her with a secret she knew she just couldn't keep.

He had told her that the military had learned of his true identity, and that he was to leave. He had to run away. She wasn't sure how they had found of or why they had taken so long to finally realize the truth. Because she had known about it for a while.

Violet eyes, the ability to regenerate, the obvious fact that he was hiding something, well, that was just enough to stir her curiosity. It was just enough for her to ruin everything.

Selim was a homunculus.

He didn't even have to tell her. Savannah had pulled countless strings with her father's old friends from the military and she had pulled out the largest collection of alchemy books. And that probably didn't go unnoticed. Central, although a large city, was controlled by one person. Everything happening eventually reached him.

So, therefore, she was the one to blame. Most people try to find a person to put the blame on, whether it be themselves, or another, but a problem never goes without a culprit. 

It had been over a month. No Selim. She was sure she had meant something to him, at least enough for him to come back. And his mother. She was a mess. She firmly believed that he was dead, and it was only proper to stick a stone in the ground and carve his name onto it. Beneath her laid an empty coffin. 

She knew, for a fact, that Selim was alive.

But she also knew that he was never going to come back. Because he hadn't left anything important behind.
