Selyavira Headcanon

Muriel’s daughter!

Young:

As an infant, she would either be silent and still or give an absolute piercing shriek that would make people come running in a panic.

As a toddler, she really learned to harness that power and would giggle whenever she'd make Muriel startle. 

Also learned about crying in a big, bad way. 

Delayed speech. Mainly because she didn't need to talk. She had someone to do the talking for her. 

As a child, had everyone concerned that she was struggling with reading. Celeste gave her a book, and she read it aloud correctly. She just liked letting Helia read to her.  (You wanna bet Muriel and Asra both cracked and had to excuse themselves to cry?)

Tall and lean from birth. Leveled off at puberty at 6'. Poor 5' nothing Celeste looking like that mom from the Love You Forever book rocking her adult son. Even 5'8 Asra struggled. Thankfully, Papa Muriel had that under control. 

Not terribly social, but certainly better than her father. She likes her parents and her sister best. Uncle Julian next best. 

Very nervous. Scared of her own shadow. Scared of all snakes that aren't family. 

Berzerker rage if anyone comes near her or her sister with ill intent. She'll feel intensely guilty about it later. 

Squeamish. She does not do blood or sick people. 

Whip-smart. One of her favorite places to be is with Jadda Salim and Titi Aisha in their workshop building things.

Loves plants and nature. From the time she was very, very small, she would just sit in the grass and grow flowers out of nothing. 

Adult: 

She stayed home until she was in her twenties, then moved to the shop with Helia to be in between the palace and the cabin. 

Also, because the prospect of living too far away from her sister scared her. 

Started taking over duties from Aisha and Salim. 

Travels with Helia on occasion but gets terribly homesick if she's away too long.

Breakfast with mom and Julian every morning at the clinic before work. 

Mom is her BFF. 

She doesn't need Muriel to fix things around the apartment but has him come anyway. And they talk for hours. 

Goes to Asra for advice all the time when she's working on projects. Gets in her head about what technique is best and Asra is good about helping her work through things and simplifying the problem.

Lots of girlfriends! Just hasn't found what she's looking for, yet. 

Not at all confident that Julian would be useful if something terrible happened but likes knowing he's next door if she needs him. 

Still a crier when she's stressed. And she's always just a little stressed.
