Hi!! Just saw that warsaw skimble is named Semaforro. I love that. Does it mean stoplight? Sounds very similar to italian "semaforo" and I'm going crazy over it /pos

Hi! His full name is Semaforro, but it's shortened to Semafor in his song, and that one means semaphore, the railway signal

Also fun fact there used to be an animation studio here in Poland that also was called Semafor and I think it may be a little nod to it too, given Warsaw has this whole film studio theme

Cats Warsaw 20th Anniversary Event - Day 6 - Favourite Relationship

I decided to go with a romantic relationship cuz why not and the one i picked is Semaforro x Galaretka aka Skimble x Jelly

They are just so cute together 💖💖💖

They're just so cute and flirty and having the best time together, and it just makes me melt. Like just look at them!!! Bustopher is going on and on about his clubs and they have eyes only for each other

Another change in Cats Warsaw that i absolutely adore is Skimble falling asleep during his song, not before

Because he falls asleep right at the lines talking about passengers falling asleep soundly with no rodents interrupting cuz he's doing such a good job

And he's falling asleep while being held up and rocked like a train would and everyone sings softer or just hums and it's just so sweet

And then they wake him up by shouting his name right into his face XD

Fun region-specific changes/easter eggs in Cats Chorzów

Instead of the train going north Skimble sings about going south bc that's where entertainment is- Chorzów is located in the south of Poland and cats are played in the Theater of Entertainment (Teatr Rozrywki). I think it went like this:

Na południu biel, na południu cel

Bo tam rozrywka jest

Chorzów and towns around it are one of the most industrialized areas in the country, they stand on mines and coal. When the train shows up some cats, i think Victoria or Jemima and other ladies, show up wearing headlights like the miners do and board the train

Also this could be a stretch, but the big moon prop is kinda yellow, which happens irl when the air is very polluted, and again- coal heavy area, the designers made the stage look like an abandoned factory, it could be intentional
