One thing I’ve always loved picturing with Sembrel is his fighting style. He was raised as a shepherd, so he’s been handling staves for most of his life. However, rather than using them to guide goats, he mostly used his tools to ward them off. Being the awkward person he is, he learned very early on how to leap and squirm and wiggle out of reach at even the slightest provocation.
Many years later, and you have an exceptionally adept acrobat on your hands. He deliberately avoids packing a lot of hitting power, preferring to use his Sight to avoid killing blows rather than perform them.
