Semiconductor maker Axcelis beats revenue, estimates to 17-year high, global semiconductor sales up 29% in July
After a dull July, semiconductor stock Axcelis Technologies (NSDAQ: ACLS) regained investor attention in August, rising 28.9 percent in August, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence. The reason for the company’s share price rise was partly related to the global semiconductor chip shortage and partly from the company’s second-quarter financial data released in August.
