Semispheres Review

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Semispheres is a puzzle game of epic proportions. You have to be awake and open minded to play this game as the puzzles are set to be solved simultaneously on each level. The game is set with the explicate intent of duel reality and to solve one puzzle you must solve the other.

Use logic, on some of the puzzles you have to use higher problem solving skills as opposed to basic problem solving skills and if you are ambidextrous, well, this game will be a breeze for you as the controls are actually situated on opposite sides of the game, and at time you are required to move the orbs at the same time to reach the end or get past the enemy.

Game Review – Semispheres

Short Version: Very simple, but very cool. It’s a tried and true puzzle game that gets to the point and delivers on the fun immediately with interesting concepts. It’s a little rough around the edges, like a college student’s final exam at game dev school, but it’s works well and is fun to play.

We’re currently playing Semispheres for review on Nintendo Switch, so we got in touch with indie Vivid Helix total about the game’s development.

4colorrebellion: Hi! Thank you for joining us today. Could you please help us get started by presenting yourself to our readers and telling them a bit about your work?

Hello! I'm Radu Muresan, developer, and designer behind Semispheres. This is my first console/PC title, I've done some mobile games before this, mostly for kids.

4cr: Semispheres is now on Nintendo Switch. How would you describe the game to someone who's never heard about it?

Semispheres is a meditative parallel puzzle game. It's best experienced just going in dark without knowing much. I can promise you haven't played anything quite like it!

4cr: Where there any challenges when porting the game from PS4 to Nintendo Switch? Have there been any changes introduced between the move from Sony's to Nintendo's console?

The process was fairly smooth, there are always things you run into in the early days of any platforms, but this was not bad at all. The only change for the Switch version is that I switched the colors around (blue is on the left now) so it matches the positions of the blue and red Joy-Con from the neon version of the Switch!

4cr: Now that the game is out on Nintendo Switch, can you share some new info on your next project?

Not quite yet! I still have some work to do on Semispheres. I have some ideas for the next project, but I will only get started on it most likely next year. Going from idea to game takes a bit of time so don't want to promise anything yet this early.

4cr: Once again, thank you for taking the time to do this interview. Would you like to add anything before we go?
