At the sight of one of her favorite neighbors, Lana slides onto the seat next to them. "Fuck. What is there even to do for fun tonight that's not an orchestra or someone from Virtue?"

Reuben's belongings are already in the beginnings of being packed into boxes by the time his roommates return home. They keep odd hours, at least from his perspective of someone with a rather rigid schedule, and he'll admit that he'd rather unrealistically hoped to have vacated the apartment before their returns. Without bothering to look up to see which chaotic roommate has stepped in the door, Reuben explains in a monotone voice, "I'm moving out."

The Alibi is a full time job, but Mondays are one of the few times Marlana is nearly always guaranteed her day off. Maybe she ought to be catching up on sleep, but she's instead sitting at her neighbors' apartment and half-listening to whatever new hijinx they've been up to this week when she notices something is off. "Hey-- what happened to the ugly bookshelves that took up half your living room? Did you torch them without me?" she muses offhand, interrupting whatever they'd been saying.
