This is the problem with our current senators, representatives, and @sencorygardner specifically. I wrote to ask for action on gun control after the Las Vegas shooting. I'm a gun owner myself and want gun reform including increased background checks among other reforms (previous reform proposals wouldn't have affected me a bit!). I also discussed better treatment for mental health and overall healthcare to fix some serious ailments hurting in our country. How does he respond? With the attached, empty statement that has absolutely nothing concerning tangible action or what he's willing to do. This response may as well have said, "Thanks for contacting me, Vegas shooting happened, thoughts and prayers. Toodles." He's doing nothing for real issues that need addressing, but he will pass tax reform that hurts me as an author and small business owner, work to cripple healthcare in this country and do nothing tangible about helping its citizens with the disgusting amount of deaths caused by guns in our country. Unless there are drastic changes by Gardner and our other representatives, it's time for an election that cleanses our country of gutless party-over-anything else reps like Senator Gardner. I keep contacting you, and you continue to not listen, doing exactly what I've asked you not to. Your actions are remembered, sir. And your thoughts and prayers mean nothing if you do nothing to prevent future issues in our country. You are not listening to the people of Colorado or the United States of America.
