In a town hall with constituents, the GOP senator criticized the Trump's behavior as president.
It has recently come to light that the junior senator from Nebraska, Ben Sasse, is extremely critical of President Trump. The senator who is rumored to be a potential contender for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 has recently stepped up his criticisms of the President following his winning of the primary earlier this year. The question does arise though, what took him so long to be critical of the President and why not do it outright in public rather than with his constituents? There are more and more Republicans everyday who would be more than happy to nominate another Republican, rather than vote for President Trump. Sasse would have their support, as he appeals to the average conservative rather than a President who does not care about those who died during this pandemic and continually retweets lies and conspiracies on his Twitter account. The junior senator from Nebraska has made a small impact in the media due to his phone call with his constituents and one can only hope that Sasse convinced Nebraskans to vote for Biden. Not only because he is the morally correct candidate, but he has become a President that everyone wishes we have had, someone who has empathy for others, who cares about the justice system, who is our modern day hero that we so desperately needed. So thank you Senator Sasse, for bringing this to light and telling your constituents that President Trump is a drunken sailor, who has no idea he is even captaining a ship carrying more than 300 million lives.
