His accent is what I can best describe as 'Polish', except I do not know a lick of Polish, so it's really me trying my best. I watched a lot of videos of Polish people speaking English to try and get close to the accent - his voice is higher pitched and very nasally, and he has a bit of a 'backwater twang'. Lowborn speech pattern, basically. Maybe one day I'll do a voice recording!
His father ADORES his boyfriend Niram, even if he is a drow! His first reaction upon learning that Niram was his boyfriend was quizzing the wizard on his mathematics and Niram passed easily, and so Petyr adored him and considers him family now. Yuri's mother...she didn't like it at first. People are just kinda racist to drow, it sucks. But she's getting better and even hugged Niram during a family dinner.
