On Monday December 29th of 2014 one of my friends was found dead. Her name was Brianna Wells. Her body was found in a south Phoenix ally she was 17 and had been beaten to death. We where juniors at Marcos de Niza high school at the time. They never determined if she was killed there or if the body had been dumped in that spot. The media wrote Brianna of a a chronic runaway and the case was never talked about again. People forgot very quickly that it even happened. Her family and friends didn’t. I still think about her to this day, still have dreams about it. I have thoughts pop into my head everyday day about what happened, who did it, why. So I can only imagine what her family thinks. The way the media talked about her, A Victim of a horrible crime is despicable. Yes she would runaway, but only to the park or target. She had some problems but nothing that didn’t make her life valid. Nothing that didn’t make her loved. No one ever interviewed me or my friend except for one man over the phone called my friend to see what she knew , but I asked a retired detective and he told me and my mom that the police don’t do that they only interview in person not over the phone and that it was most likely not a officer. My mother even called the detective on the case and gave him permission to talk to me if he needed to. But no one ever did. Whitch is weird seeing as my friend and I had talked to her only a few days before on Facebook. And she was telling us she was upset about things I don’t feel comfortable discussing here. A year after this happened on my old tumblr page a male student at ASU reaches out to me about her asking for information for a paper asking for pictures and for me to meet with him, he did the same on Facebook to a friend. But on his pages there where no pictures or anything they had just been made, neither of us met with him and we blocked him. My mom reached out and sent the messages to the detective on her case cause it was suspicious. The detective did nothing with this. That’s the last thing that has happened. I’m writing this because I feel like people don’t care or don’t know and no one is willing to help. So please keep Brianna Wells in your prayers and your hearts. Don’t forget about her. Look into her case don’t let her case never be solved. Don’t let Brianna and her loved ones not get the justice and peace they deserve. Keep her in your prayers and souls.
