Hendra leaves his wife and his two children to go to Jakarta. In the city, Hendra gains success, marries his secretary and abandons his wife and children. When his family comes to join him, he chases them away. Fortunately, Elvi, his wife, meets a young man who is going to a recording. Elvi ends up making a record herself and becomes successful. It is then when Hendra starts to fail. He looks for Elvi and his children. But his children are still revengeful, though their mother persuades them to forgive him, especially since Hendra is hit by a car and is hospitalised. He finally gets his children’s forgiveness. Achmad Albar and Swara Mahardika, conducted by Guruh Soekarnoputra, are featured in the film to boost its popularity.
The title of this film is taken from a dangdut song, "Cubit-Cubitan", written by Murry and popularised by Elvy Sukaesih.
