So I’ve always wondered what happens after the scene is cut. Here is my take on it.
Sense8 fam : SERIOUS TALK
Yall. Like many people here, Im slowly awakening from pure post-binge bliss right now. And like many, I felt the ending of this season and that cliffhanger went right to the juggular, and I want more. Yet we gotta wait for season 3. And, God knows when that will be…
I wanted to talk to the fam’ to remind them that Sense8 as much as we love it, is still an article of commerce in the eye of Netflix, and therefore it has to be profitable. Thing is… our beloved show is one of the most expensive show ever made - yes, more than Game of Thrones. Its estimated it cost the production 9million of dollars approximately for each episode, without A-list actors, white walkers or dragons. Yet.. compared to Game of Thrones or even House of Cards (~4m/episode), the fanbase for the show stays relatively small. Not a lot of people have seen it, or even heard of it. It has hardely reach cult status yet, despite how new, innovative and just breath-talking the whole thing is. There are not a lot of reference to Sense8 in the pop culture, or anywhere really.
Ok so why am I talking about this and what can we do? I wont pretend like I know exactly how the mind of a Netflix executive work, or that I have a magic answear to Sense8’s popularity challenges. All I know that we can do is spread the world. Push your friends to watch it, Share about it on social media, or heck, Write Buzzfeed article about it. We gotta spread the word.
Here for exemple is what Brian J. Smith said last march on the matter : "That all rests with Netflix and also the fans, too - if they like what happens, and they like what they see in season two, we'll hear about it. I think we'll all know whether or not we should do a third season. I hope we do. I can say there's definitely more story to tell after season two. We're not done with it and I hope we get to finish it, I really do."
The more this season gets watched, the better the ratings, the more likely we’ll get that season 3 and know WHERE THE HECK WOLFGANG IS???! You know what to do.
