Listen mentally I am always one second away from dropping the 20k essay bomb about these two (because I sure got a feature film length video playing in my head at all times) but words are so difficult;;

I've been chickening out for a while now because diving into their full stories obviously dabbles in Inquest territory and therefore questionable morality and some difficult topics, so I'm trying to figure how to juggle The Words to convey The Thoughts.

That said I'm a ticking timebomb so the options are a) I'll actually drop a badly worded essay at some point b) I'll drop an abridged version for a general overview c) I'll keep sprinkling lore puzzle pieces in random tags d) I'll just keep making more cryptic art e) Additional secret option??

ALL THAT SAID I am very humbled that you're interested 😭 I saw a handful of other peeps express some interest as well and it's truly touching that you guys would actually want to know more;;

First up is my willbender, and since you haven't seen a pic of her yet, meet Qheza! (She mostly goes by Q.) She/her.

1. The basics- Profession, Race, and if they’d done the personal story, what would they have chosen?

Willbender (so guardian), and as seen above, asura! She's a Statics graduate, and none of the invention bits are particularly her style, but the Infinity Ball is closest. (And she'd fall under "charming.")

Next is harbinger, who I also haven't shared a pic of yet. This is Alison Xander! They/them is Alison's preference, but they're fine with any pronouns as long as you're polite.

4. How would they get along with Destiny’s Edge?

Short answer: like a house on fire, probably. Longer answer: They would have liked Eir and respected her, but the two of them wouldn't quite have clicked well enough to be good friends. They would have valued Zojja, but she would have irritated them a bit. Alison and Rytlock would be a constant circle of sniping at each other, kinda like Rytlock and Logan, except Alison would have literally no stake in any of it and would therefore always win any snarking competition by virtue of not caring about whatever Rytlock said. They would be exasperated by Logan (at least younger Logan) but find him an endearing kid, and if they were around for it, they would have taken him leaving the group to go to Jennah almost as hard as Rytlock did. (Though they'd hide it a lot better.) They'd actively try to befriend Caithe, which would be a mess and chaotic but would eventually work at least a little. And I'm including Snaff, too, because these two would have most definitely gotten along well.

And last but not least is Sovana, my virtuoso, who I already shared a pic for! But I think I forgot to share her pronouns--she/her for this plant, please.

8. Do they have a creative side? Are they a singer, an artist, a storyteller?

I actually just answered this for her here! :) But for a bonus related fun fact: if she's ever asked to recount a story, she does so with literally the bare minimum of details. She's great at summarizing, but if you want any facts past the bare bones, ask someone else.

2. What is their relationship with their Spirit/the Spirits in general?

The family spirit is Owl, but they all have their own individual Spirits.

🦉Raven is the spirit of Aisling and Aoife. The pair of them are knowledge seekers through and through. Wolf is Roisin's spirit, and aids her in hunting and traking.

🦉Roisin works with the Order of Whispers and being a sneaky hunter and having good situational awareness as helped her a ton.

🦉Siobhan's spirit is Snow Leopard, she calls on her spirit in times of hunting to be stealthy and efficient. Siobhan is a lone hunter, much like her spirit.

🦉Currently un-named Norn who I'll be making in a few days will be a Bear follower in game, as I don't have a bear-non yet. But I want to give her a non-standard spirit as well like Darkness. Seasons is interesting too. Being stronger in a certain season, and maybe weaker in the opposite season?

9. Do they live in Hoelbrak or in their own homestead? What’s it like?

🦉The Ulvstrom homestead is a rather large homestead in what was the Frozen Forest in Guild Wars 1 (East of Timberline, and West of Thunderhead Peaks). The home can comfortably fit around 10 people and is sectioned off to sleeping quarters, a kitchen / main room, and washroom.

🦉 Outside is an animal pen consisting of dolyaks (their fur is used for clothing and home comforts) and chickens (used for eggs, meat, feathers for decorations and stuffing). 🦉There's an outdoor crafting structure where the family can do blacksmithing, leatherworking, wood working and cooking.

🦉The parents live here all year round, and their children pop by whenever they can. Some stay for months on end, some just pay a flying visit. The family all meet up at home at least once a year, and all travel to Hoelbrak for the annual Ale Moot there, telling tales to each other as they travel.

12. Do they have a craft or kind of art they like to do?

🦉Aoife will read anything you put in front of her, absorbing every word and interpretation. When she first joined the Priory she didn't come out of the library for weeks. And when she got access to the restricted section she was there for months. She will put her knowledge into songs or poems.

🦉Roisin likes to craft weapons and other things out of wood. She prefer to uses wood she's gathered herself. It needs to come from a sustainable area. She tends to the garden plots in the great lodge and grows saplings there to be planted outside when they're strong enough.

🦉Aisling likes to craft things from animals, feathers and fur in particular. She'll make beaded hanging ornaments from the feathers of ravens and give them to young norn interested in learning about Raven.

🦉Siobhan isn't very crafty. She's too heavy handed for anything that requires fiddly precision. But she can chop firewood like a mother.

18. Best or most embarrassing moot moment?

🦉 Moots for Siobhan are drink and scrapping with her brothers. Things can get pretty heated, often they end up in their spirit forms, and to an outsider it can really look like 4 giant men picking on one woman. Their fighting got interrupted by a group of well meaning Sylvari one year and it took a lot of explaining to them that no, she's fine, this is what they do. It didn't help that almost everyone involved was intoxicated. It was like explaining a really complicated meme to someone who was new to the internet.

“Well, this is uh...” Faust scratches Sonya’s chin and stares at the alleyway in shock. “This is gross.”“What? What’s gross?” Sonya’s voice echoes through their shared mind space.Strings of meat and flesh coat the walls, wrapping around laundry lines and hanging down in oozing strips. Blue veins deprived of oxygen bulge from the mysterious mass, as the meaty mass sloughs down the cobblestone.“I mean, it’s not gross by my standards really.” The demon backtracks, walking back out from the alley. “It’s an alleyway in the pits of DR, my dear. What do you expect?”Sonya makes a disgusted sound and quiets back down into their subconscious. Truly, Faust hadn’t meant to activate his powers. He’d seen a rat and jumped, accidentally causing it to explode into the meaty mass he was currently speed walking away from. That’ll be a fun surprise for the Seraph to stumble upon later.

Very first thing Sent would do in Nayos is get bitten by some critter she was trying to look at and leaned too close. Peitha turns her back on her for a second and when she looks back Sent is there trying to befriend the skitterers. She's poking the plants. She's shoulder deep in the bushes insisting that she just saw some cool looking thing scatter away in there. Peitha has to ban her from trying to get the handy spiders to give her a handshake like it's a puppy because she looks ridiculous and it lowers the morale. Nobody told the Ward that their Wayfinder used to be a ranger AND a Priory scholar before being the Commander and honestly I don't think they are ready for it.
