       EFFY HATES GROUP PROJECTS. it’s not that she isn’t capable of working well with others, she just ... prefers not to do so. besides, it’s always exhausting to deal with other people’s schedules and foolish ideas — and that’s assuming they even make an effort to help at all in the first place. all that being said, she was less than pleased when her professor announced that they will indeed be working in groups for her psychology class this semester. even worse, the groups are assigned. she had hoped that she would get at least a somewhat useful partner assigned, but she quickly realized that that hope was in vain once she found out that eevie is her partner.

       it’s not that she necessarily has anything against the other girl, but— okay, maybe effy judges her. just a little. it’s just so clear how little the other girl cares about this class, and effy cannot for the life of her understand being so content with failure. 

       it doesn’t help that, currently, eevie is late meeting her at the library.

       effy sighs, opening her laptop and beginning to type in the group google doc she made when the project was first assigned. when she finally notices the other girl approaching, she doesn’t even look up, lips pursed in annoyance. “ oh, so you have decided to show up after all. very kind of you. ”

       NOAH ENTERS PRINCE’S OFFICE IN A WHIRLWIND, smile stretched across his face both wide and fake as he approaches the other man’s desk. “ good afternoon, mr. khim, ” he says cheerfully, ignoring ( as always ) prince’s distaste for being addressed so formally. “ don’t forget your meeting with the board of directors is soon. are you nearly ready ? ”

       without waiting for an answer, noah carefully sets prince’s fourth coffee of the day down on his desk, eagerly awaiting the moment that prince takes his first sip and realizes that noah has gotten it with several pumps of sweetener again. it’s typically about a 70/30 chance whether or not he gets prince’s coffee order right— not because he’s an idiot, but because he is petty, and this is one of the few ways he can take a vague, spiteful joy from his job on days when prince is being a particularly large thorn in his side.

       he isn’t evil, though. noah never shorts prince on the extra espresso shots. and if he sometimes fantasizes about ordering a coffee with real cow milk in it on days when prince reaches his most difficult in order to give the lactose intolerant brat a violent case of the shits, well— he’d never actually do it, and no one needs to know.

               bags the colour of week old bruises lingered beneath her usually bright eyes ----- though the only bright thing about hye-yeon on this day is her pink & blonde hair. her usually optimistic mood had been tampered with these past few days ----- you can thank her brother for that. she’d spent the last few days acting like a brightly dressed zombie, what with sleep being what felt like a million miles away. a big yawn sends her mouth opening up wide as her small arms reach up & over her head, rubbing at her eyes as she reassures the other with a feeble smile.          ❛     i am fiiiine. sleepy is all. ----- did you eat all the honey hoops?     ❜
