HTTYD OC ALERT WOOO
Once again, crow exists in every fandom 🤭
I really didn’t feel like coloring Medusa so.. yay. And I attempted to make it to scale but Medusa is a bit too small so yeah
But here’s Crow! His armor was mainly inspired by rogue attire and I added in some dragon scales. I made him more human-y but I kept his eye and ears mainly cause those are the staples of his design. I also changes a bit of his face shape and stuff.
Anyways, more to come!

Can you tell when I kinda gave up?
I genuinely hate Lark’s pose but I can not bring myself to keep doing this or animating it properly. This is all I can wring out atm. Just like, play Eternity by Alex Warren while reading it.
@dragons-of-jotunheim you shall get tagged with all my HTTYD art/lore <3

I drew Lark! Fun fact, no one actually knows when she died because she went out on a voyage and just never returned. It was the only time she ever left with Medusa, and the last time anyone ever saw her.
The only records about her are from her estranged husband, whom she did not live, but not many marriages at the time were from love. She left when her son was about 5 years old. Her cloak was in the trunk along with all her journals and records.
There is a single painting of her in existence, on the back wall of the great hall behind the council table
@dragons-of-jotunheim hope you enjoy more lore <3

A big Crow info dump! This was originally just gonna be a sketch page but I started writing and didn’t wanna stop :)
Crow is a huge nerd! He loves astronomy and tinkering around with ideas. He only started the wings since Ignis mentioned it was pretty hard getting around while solely relying on gliding and walking, and it’s his biggest project yet. Anyways I have work tomorrow and didn’t realize how late it is ok bye <3

HTTYD Oc fun facts!
Ignis has a VERY southern accent, yes I know they’re technically Vikings but this is my au and I make the rules
Princess is absolutely spoiled rotten, and expects pets from everyone, despite Ignis being the only one who can touch her without being burned
Sometimes wandering fireworms will just start following Ignis. At first he thought they were following Princess, but no, they were following him.
Crow has many different variants! I’ve come up with around 3-4 storylines that all are some degree of canon (depending on the au version)
This does include an au we’re Crow becomes resentful of humans and fully embraces draconic behavior, becoming practically feral
Crow loves astronomy! He’s charted the stars more accurately than most of his predecessors, and isn’t all that certain that they’re the embers of muspelheim like Norse mythology states.
Lark got Medusa’s name from a scroll being traded by a Greek traveler. It included a lot of tales about the Greek gods, as well as Medusa’s story (in which she’s a devotee to Athena). Of course when she finds a dragons seemingly made of stone, she has to name her after her favorite story.
Horizon was actually outcasted from her birth tribe for her craft, as they thought she would anger the gods, and endanger their village.
She is a devout follower of Eir, the Norse goddess of healing, and she had made a vow to never use her magick to strike down another living creature unless necessary (self defense, or cases where neither herbs nor magick can save them.)
She is mostly vegetarian/pescatarian. When she met Stratus she became more pescatarian but still refuses to eat land animals
Avaste was raised in the wilderness, his parents believed that living in a village meant you were weak, so they never set foot within one unless they needed supplies.
He found Feather as an egg, a few years after setting off to explore on his own. He’d made a long-term camp in order to make sure the egg would be safe until it hatched. Feather still views Avaste as his mother even now at full maturity.
Lil HTTYD AU info!
Crow edition:
Lowkey accidentally posted this midway after dropping my phone in my face so if u saw that no u didn’t
So it’s known that Sentinels are the guardians of Vanaheim and none are really seen beyond that (very few exceptions). So obviously Crow being bonded to Medusa is really, really weird. It’s also seen that when they’re not active, Sentinels go into a hibernation-like state where they sit like gargoyles. So I have two different versions of Crow, but this is one where he’s raised with Humans.
Crow is a descendant of the founder of Evermore Island, home of the ForestStone people (idk ab the name still workshopping it). The founder was said to have ridden a “great stone dragon”, who seemingly vanished after her death. For generations, a large dragon statue stood in the center of the village. The townspeople called it “Lark’s final gift”. Lark made their village as a place for humans and dragons to coexist, for peace. She was said to have been able to communicate with them, and her left eye had a pitch black sclera. She earned the title of Lark, the Dragon Whisperer. Throughout the years, the statue became a place to leave gifts for Lark on their village’s anniversary, and no one knew what the statue really was.
On Evermore Island, children are allowed to start training with dragons at the age of 10, and that’s when fledglings will seek out humans to bond with. When Crow reached the age of 10, no fledgling or adult dragons would bond with him. He was the first since Lark to inherit what the people called the “Draconic gift”, which consisted of lark’s black eye, and her gift to communicate with the dragons and understand them. He was so sure he’d be able to get a dragon to choose him, all the dragons were friends with him, but none wanted to bond with him. It wasn’t until he walked past “Lark’s Final Gift”, eyes full of tears, that they heard stone cracking. The statue was then revealed to be a hibernation sentinel, who felt his soul, the one that matched her rider all those centuries ago. And one day, his soul will die out, and she’ll be left alone once again, waiting for it to reawaken once again, so she can be reunited with her rider. Over and over again, until the cycle is broken.
Anyways, that’s how Crow met Medusa (in this timeline of the AU), Sentinels are pretty much immortal ig? Depends on if they’re killed or not, but they don’t die naturally. So even after Crow’s dead, Medusa will return to her Hibernation until Crow’s soul is reawakened again. When I say (NON-ROMANTIC) soulmates, this is what I mean.
Also not sure if I put the correct eye, I still don’t know my left and right after literal decades on this damn planet.

I was requested Gargoyle so I did Sentinel from How to train your dragon
