     as much as she loved amusement parks, crowds could be a bit overwhelming. that was precisely why jinnie currently found herself right next to seojun, her arm linked within his own as they walked through the ‘hollywood’ area of universal studios singapore. she always felt incredibly safe around the older man. it was clear from her face mask and hat that she was hoping to blend in as much as possible. while she didn’t mind ever meeting valentines in the wild, she wasn’t sure if she could muster up the energy today to be jinnie of braveheart. she didn’t want to be an idol right now, just a girl. her manager was the perfect person to accompany her to make sure that happened. 

     “ what do you want to do first, oppa ? ” the redhead inquired kindly, turning her head to look up at him. she flashed him a tired smile under the mask. “ it’s so hot. . . maybe we should get ice cream ? ” her eyes turned a bit more pleading, fully aware overly sugary things were usually on the off-limits list for the girls. the other managers could be much stricter when it came to that, but she could usually succeed with seojun. “ i think we need ice cream. i won’t tell if you don’t. ”

     jinnie was already so exhausted. ever since landing back in seoul, she’d been on autopilot — music video shooting, dance practice, photoshoots, interviews. it went on and on. she barely had time to breathe, let alone sleep. she was, of course, grateful for the opportunity to debut as a soloist but she wished it hadn’t come at such an already hectic time. tour and managing her personal life was already a lot, now she had all of this to worry about. was there any wonder that she’d ended up crumbling during day one of shooting ? 

     now with the music video complete, the blonde was now onto press day. after finishing with elle korea, she was told that she had about twenty minutes before spotify would arrive. selfishly, that update had jinnie rushing to the green room, hoping to take a quick cat nap before the next interview. she’d curled up on the couch and managed to rest her eyes for about five minutes before there was a gentle knock, followed by the door opening. tired eyes found seojun standing there before zeroing in on the bag in his hand. “ is that food ? ” she inquired sleepily. forcing herself to sit up, a pout formed as her body screamed in a protest for exhaustion. she wondered what he brought her. japchae or korean fried chicken sounded like heaven right now, but she wouldn’t get her hopes up — she knew she was on a more restrictive plan because of the solo promotions.

having   taken   ,   by   now   ,   one   too   many   shots   that   are   to   blame   for   a   slightly   lighter   head   and   in   the   midst   of   wandering   around   in   search   of   any   familiar   silhouette   after   her   fair   share   of   mingling   with   anyone   that   had   caught   her   attention   so   far   ,   the   brunette   stumbles   across   a   glass   filled   tray   .   with   fingers   swiftly   wrapping   around   what   she   assumes   is   a   brandy   snifter   ,   dark   hues   light   up   at   the   sight   of   easily   recognizable   features   and   it   only   takes   a   few   ,   barely   uncoordinated   steps   for   her   to   reach   the   occupied   lounge   chair   ,   before   effortlessly   taking   a   sit   on   the   handle   ,   as   a   free   hand   raises   to   rest   against   her   newly   acquired   company’s   shoulder   .   ‘   there   you   are   ,   i   was   wondering   where   you’d   ran   off   to   .   ’   though   she   is   the   one   who   admittedly   managed   to   vanish   into   thin   air   ever   since   their   arrival   ,   such   minor   details   don’t   seem   to   be   of   great   value   in   her   eyes   and   so   with   no   further   hesitation   lips   part   to   chime   in   her   words   once   more   .   ‘   you   see   that   girl   over   there   ?   ’   with   a   finger   pointing   out   the   subject   of   interest   ,   she   leans   only   an   inch   closer   ,   if   only   to   get   her   point   across   in   a   discreet   manner   .   ‘   she   was   asking   me   about   you   .   ’    /    @seojunfm​
