Brown Sahibs, Gunga Dins and Sepoys - Northeast Edition
This is an addition to the first part of the Brown Sahibs, Gunga Dins and Sepoys post. As you can see, here is an image of a Naga woman and man with their hands and feet locked in wooden stocks as a punishment by the British authorities in the 20th century. The British missionaries wrote about the Nagas as "savage",  "headhunters" who attacked "British controlled areas", and ultimately the British subdued the Nagas into submission. Today, these Nagas comment like this:
If people really didn't know what these Naga insurgents were really like, they would actually believe these comments. But notice how every single one of them are saying how "the British weren't as bad as the Indian Armed Forces" and then inventing made up stuff like "Indian Army killed the livestock of the Nagas and ate them", what?!? This is what different Naga tribes were doing with each other. Not a single Brahmin in Assam or Bengal ever went to the Nagas to impose their culture on them, lock them up in wood stocks and call them headhunting subhumans. These Nagas are in conflict with the Kuki-Zo, the Meiteis and each other. Drugged up and armed to the teeth by American Baptist Church. But, if you say anything about this, you will either get hunted down by these Naga terrorists or get slapped with some tribal act because apparently Nagas are given special tribal privileges according to the Indian constipation.., sorry, constitution. Us Bengalis in the Northeast know how much we tiptoe with these tribes.
