Wait.....i actually do the exact same thing Alex does in that fic when I'm really stressed, half the time I dont even notice it- thats a bad thing? What is trich {if you dont mind me asking}?
Trich (trichotillomania is the full name but who has time for that) is an anxiety disorder where you pull out your hair. It can be any hair, I just did eyelashes in the fic bc that’s what I struggle with. It usually co-exists with an anxiety disorder, like it does for me, and flares up under stress.
It’s bad in the sense that you could damage the follicles, preventing future hair growth there, if you do it too much, and it can lower your self esteem if you feel like the hair loss is noticeable.
