Happy holidays! I was wondering if you’ve been reading Hickman’s Marvel G.O.D.S., and what your thoughts are on Stephen’s portrayal?

Hello!! Super late happy holidays to you!! Apologies for taking this long to reply 😭

I'm currently at issue #3 but yes, I've been reading it! I have tons of comics to catch up atm but so far I like to think that Wyn is what Stephen was supposed to look like during his v4 phase. In all honesty, Hickman's Stephen throws me back to his New Avengers v3 era, when he was way more formal and polite, dramatic and stern. Well, he's indeed shadowed by Wyn, whose characterization is very enjoyable for readers (at least, it is for me). But also Wyn is the protagonist, so I'm not taking Stephen's characterization that serious so far. I will complain, tho, that I miss other magic users. They all left the burden for those two to carry. They baited with the variant covers. They baited me with the preview!! pls pretend this is not about Victor

Anyways, looking forward to the next issues! I simply LOVE the big four deities and Oblivion has always fascinated me. To have this entity in the spotlight gives me giggles heehee. Thank you for passing by!

Man, I loved G.O.D.S. by Jonathan Hickman! Everything this man writes these days is so exciting! Just look at what he did with X-Men on Krakoa 🥺😭💛💛💛 And i just finished G.O.D.S. and I already miss Wyn! I mean, at the beginning he was just some dude similar to Doctor Strange but the last issue made me like him so much and sympathize with him! And poor Dimitri... he deserved a happy ending. Hickman can make characters so likable. I just wish he wrote more about Krakoan age, hell, i wish Krakoan age never ended 💔 Sadly, other writers ruined it bit by bit until they destroyed the dream and paradise completely. I also want more of G.O.D.S, it ended too soon, it would be a great ongoing.
