Since the last patch for FFXI is coming up I thought I’d repost this video I made way back when for @vanguard-the when he was about to quit the game in 2009. (we had been playing since 2003~2004?) I decided as an ode to his character I would make a tribute video for his and my character. I was still planning on playing and he was gonna wait for XIV to come out.
However, it touched him so much that he ended up staying. xD I can’t tell you how much XI shaped me as a person and affected my real life. For better and for worse. But if I had not played, met the people I had, and established relationships that I did (both love and friendship) I wouldn’t be where I am today.
If any of you remember Dierdreh of Serpaph=>Bismarck/Fenrir (merge and transfer), please know that each and every one of you were very important to me and helped shape my future today. I don’t regret any of the friendships I established and consider anything that happened during those times to be important life lessons and helped me grow up into the person I am now.

Anyway in this video, my character Dierdreh, has finally decided to leave her home of San d'Oria and heads to Tavanazia where she trains to be a WHM. She finds that her time in her home has ended for now and that it was time to leave this place of memories behind. After several moths of living/traveling a long the fields, meadows, and valleys of the Tavnazian Archipelago she reminisces on the old days with Xenotas but knows its time to move on and that maybe she should just go back to San d'Oria. The time she had together with Xenotas was fun and special but she knows now it's time to move on and make new memories!!
