Continuing to gear up Alec tried to just ignore the figure standing there. But then the other looked about to speak. So he shrugged on his quiver- letting the motion help him roll his eyes. Honestly not in the mood for anybody’s nonsense. The sooner he went out alone to kill some demons, drink too much coffee and hide out for an few hours on a rooftop. It would mean him not ending up lashing out at whoever got on his nerves.

as jace’s familiar voice spoke from the other side of the door, isabelle wiped at the tears running down her cheeks to no avail. she hated crying in front of anyone, especially over something as seemingly stupid as a nightmare. she was stronger than that. hoping she didn’t look as rattled as she felt, isabelle turned to face him and deflected his question with one of her own.

“what are you doing up so late?”

Soft sunlight painted the sparring room in an orange glow as Alec walked into it. He had been down for the count for a while now. The arrow had been strategically placed, which had prolonged recovery for him. During that time, he had, of course noticed how subdued the Institute was. It was still reeling from the fact, that they lost one of their own and one of their best got possessed and almost managed to kill the head of the Institute. That would bring any Institute down.

He watched as the sunlight reflected in his parabatais hair as he seemed to try to power himself out completely “Your left side is wide open.” He said as he slowly came closer, his arm still in a sling. “So whats the plan? You train until you pass out from exhaustion?”

What sort of situation honestly made him dropping by the Institute an good idea? None in fact if weren’t for one certain warlock saying he should- probably have sent somebody else. Walking into the place ignoring the general atmosphere that tended to happen. He really could care less if an single nephilim liked him enough to fake being nice. 

Carefully walking up to the nearest one, some blonde who seemed almost vaguely out of place. Seemed an decent enough bet to get directed to whatever he was there for. “Any odds you’ve seen the High Warlock around, or the acting Head?”
