Suffering from UFO: Unidentified Feelings Ohnohelp
Has anyone ever noticed:
“Come, wayward souls, that wander through the darkness”
“O holy night, the stars are brightly shining”
“There is a light for the lost and the weak”
“It is the night of our dear savior’s birth”
“Sorrow and fear are easily forgotten”
“Long lay the world in sin and error pining”
“When you submit to the soil of the earth”
“Til he appeared and the soul felt its worth”
They’re rhythmically identical, and now that I’m typing it out, Come Wayward Souls kind of mirrors O Holy Night’s theme, even line for line. Even Greg’s part matches up in a similar way with the first bit of the chorus:
“Grow tiny seed, you are gone to the trees”
“Fall on your knees, o hear the angel voices”
I’m pretty sure it’s a coincidence, but I realized it late at night and couldn’t let it go unsaid. Do with this information as you will!
I'm stayin up till sunrise, I've decided.
A gateway
Ok so I've been thinking about that ship I like and. At first it was just funny to me that a whole group of people stood up and said that an old man and the shape who took away half of his life would be a cute/interesting pairing. It was even funnier when I could see the fairly sound logic behind it, alongside the absurdity of the premise. It's still really funny to me, but I've found myself enjoying the ship for its own sake, and I'm not mad about it. Exploring the many routes it could go and the plethora of dynamics that could occur, and still being able to laugh at myself about it while I'm thinking about it, has been a lot of fun, and an unexpected new thing to love about my favorite media. The fact that there is plentiful ground for the ship, even though that's not the way it went and likely won't ever be, is just one more thing I can appreciate about their intensely deep canon relationship. Because it is so obviously, incredibly deep that even kids who don't fully understand what love is can recognize why Ford was hurt, and why, after all that happened, Bill still repeatedly offered him a chance to follow him again and turned him into gold instead of stone and carried him around and- You get the picture. Whether it's supposed to make sense or not, their relationship is worth exploring, in any direction, and in a sense it really embodies what drew me to gravity falls in the first place.

Got held up inside for the moments before dawn, but I made it in time to see her rosy fingers splayed out for all to enjoy. In the final picture, though it's hard to see, can you find the last star?

Fuck. What even is time anymore. It's been an hour, but actually it's been fifteen minutes. I've been here, doing this, for forever, but it's been less than a minute. Someone come kill me so I can reset.
