Seraph Profile: Tsuritsa - (”The Eye of All”) - Trick

Master: Oriko Mikuni

Primary Power: Eternal Vision - Once a day, Tsuritsa can produce a vision of a singular object, entity, or place from within herself, regardless of place, time, or even reality. In exchange for her lack of autonomy and combat abilities: Tsuritsa can view anything, even other universes and timelines, regardless of whether her master Oriko knows of their existence or not- or whether the foreseen events are even within her own timeline. It is unknown if there is a limit beyond a singular question being posed to the Seraph daily in what she can see, but so far, her Master seems highly pleased with the expansion of her visions provided by the Seraph. And in a pinch, the diamond-hard carapace of the orb-like seraph can be used as a weapon, which Oriko has begun to employ to make further use of it.

Tsuritsa has not complained about her usage as a blunt weapon as of yet. . . Probably because the Seraph cannot speak.

Personality: None. Tsuritsa lacks it’s own personality, as it has no voice or autonomous limbs that it can use to communicate, instead seeming completely passive- it’s only emotes being blinking and squinting like a large eyeball in response to requests asked of it.

Seraph Profile: Hotaru (”The Ashen One”) - Combat

Master: Felicia Mitsuki

Primary Power: Redaction - Hotaru is a seraph who, unlike most Seraphs, awoke from within her master when she first became a magi. Her ability allows her to undo a singular action from any individual within the span of five minutes at a time, completely erasing that event from existence, and sometimes creating Paradoxes which can lead to the complete erasure of objects or people from existence if Felicia is not careful. However, as the Seraph has it’s own personality (moreso than most Seraphs, to the level of intelligence where it could be a magi itself) it often double-checks Felicia’s commands and uses it’s own reasoning before enacting it’s ability, though it’s disobediance can sometimes create conflict between the seraph and it’s master. These “fights” are often quickly resolved and forgotten though.

Personality: Hotaru is an odd seraph as she first awakened when Felicia first made her wish, and in the Rebirth timeline, has existed and fought alongside her master ever since. Hotaru is stoic, reserved, calm, and at times, can be rather dark- attempting to contemplate and think over most situations she is presented with, leading her to appear as a very logical entity, but this hesitation is ironically due to the events before Felicia became a magi. While neither Felicia nor Hotaru can remember the correct events that lead to either of their awakenings as Magi and Seraph, Hotaru’s purpose seems to be to bring light to the situation, as her form represents a fireman, and she is often covered in a mysterious, ghostly ash. . .

Like the Seraph Arcadia, Hotaru has a strong detest for Incubators and will attack them on sight unless Felicia prevents her from doing so.

Seraph Profile: Genevieve (”The Hand of God”) - Healing

Master: Jeanne d’Arc (Tart)

Primary Power: Holy Presence - Genevieve is a Seraph with the ability to counteract unholy presences and magiks such as curses, possessions, and summoned entities that Tart may encounter on her travel. The Seraph is able to remove or exorcise evil energies from a large area and often proves to be a powerful weapon against the forces that arose during the period of Jeanne’s death before her secret resurrection. She is most powerful in combat against ethereal entities, entering the spirit and exploding them from within with holy energy. She is powered directly by Tart’s faith in god.

Secondary Power: Resurrection - While most Seraphs who linger within their masters awaken during a time of great strife or as a one-time safeguard against despair, Genevieve only awoke after her master’s body had been burnt to ashes and cast into the Seine river some years later. Genevieve once awoken, is capable of resurrecting the dead, though initially with varying consequences and at a cost of Tart’s stamina, as the Seraph is well aware that her master would raise everyone she could whom died in the war given the chance. This shows that Genevieve has a bit of independence in order to act as a guide to keep her master focused on her journey.

Personality: Genevieve initially appears very graceful and stoic (as most Seraphs are), until her master was delivered safely to Riz, allowing it’s true nature to be seen in safety. Outside of combat, Genevieve is a very innocent and curious Seraph, often flitting about and poking at various things, sometimes unintentionally making a mess when it’s curiousity goes to far, or causing an unintentional ruckus when it “fetches” objects for it’s master, (sometimes stolen) meaning Tart must teach it appropriate manners and the concept of thievery and ownership, as well as, ironically, respect for the dead.

In combat, Genevieve’s personality changes completely- becoming stoic and serious, and having no qualms with battling other Seraphs and fiercely guarding her master from enemy attacks she would otherwise be unaware of. Genevieve’s main means of attack is flying directly through her opponents like a high-speed arrow, heavily damaging Seraphs she strikes head-on and proves capable of tearing directly through even the most steadfast of Archfiends with enough persistence.

She seems very fond of the other Seraphs and will linger around them outside of combat, perhaps even playing with Danette given the chance (Though Genevieve cannot rouse Emmanuelle enough into doing anything except chase her when she proves to be irritating.)

Seraph Profile: Danette - ( “The Lamb of Revelation” ) - Combat

Master: Melissa de Vignolles

Primary Power: Annihilation - If Genevieve is the hand of god, Danette is the hammer. This small seraph hides terrifying power, able to destabilize the mesons within an object, the energy which holds matter together, and to absorb the particles of the destabilized object into the indent on it’s back, which increases it’s strength and the rate at which objects destabilize. If the object is not absorbed, it will explode with the power of a miniature nuke. Though this Seraph is incredibly powerful, it has a very timid and kind nature, completely unwilling to fight until it believes it’s master is in danger- quickly delivering a powerful kick from all four of it’s legs at once, and using it’s agility and speed to prance away before the object destabilizes and self-destructs. In addition, Melissa can destroy the matter that makes up the object before it explodes to negate the nuclear energy and radiation that may result from her Seraph’s ability.

In times of desperation, the seraph can unleash a nuclear blast from it’s mouth in order to destroy objects and opponents, and poison other Seraph Masters who may survive the resulting blast if they cannot negate it.

Personality: Kind and timid, this Seraph imitates the demeanor of a newborn lamb, but often becomes brave when it’s master is faced with danger. Eventually, it becomes highly energetic, and can often be found prancing around the battlefield, leaving in it’s wake a swathe of nuclear destruction if it is not controlled by Melissa. It seems to get along well with Tart’s Seraph Genvieve, and the two can be seen resting together during their master’s downtime, while the ever-vigilant Emmanuelle keeps watch.

Seraph Profile: Lilyana: Phase 1 (”The Reclaimer”) - Combat

Master: Homura Akemi

Primary Power - Controlled Time Manipulation: While Homura alone has the ability to stop time, her Seraph when active allows Homura to create “bubbles” of altered space-time by firing small tooth-shaped objects the Seraph seems to materialize from nowhere. When shattered, the small time-bombs create a pocket of controlled space-time ranging from the size of a cell-phone to the size of a baseball diamond. However, only one pocket can be active at any given time, though the time within it is completely under Homura’s command- moving either forward, backwards, or stopping completely. All three require Lilyana’s concentration, making her less effective in combat, but costing Homura none of her magic in the process, saving her Soul Gem from unnecessary corruption.

Secondary Power: “Eject” - Lilyana, in phase 1 is capable of “Ejecting” Seraphs from their masters in the form of a cassette tape, which she then hides within one of the three drawers on her front. With each subsequent tape, Lilyana becomes stronger, though it is entirely possible in combat for the drawers to be knocked or pulled open, exposing or dropping the stolen tapes in the process. When a magical girl loses her tape, she slowly begins to lose her mind, starting to become a ravenous, ghostly creature called a Shade, which loses all sense and independence, acting like a drone and fleeing to parts unknown... Though, if the tape is returned to it’s master, this fate can be avoided altogether.

Seraph Profile: Luperentia - ( “The Primal Fang” )

Master: Robin Calatia

Primary Power: Beast Queen - Luperentia in both it’s wolf and were forms is capable of collecting unto itself a collective of animals (one type at a time) and command them against an enemy. This ranges from dogs, to birds, to cats, to bovines, etc. The only thing it cannot communicate with and subsequently dominate is fish, rendering this ability in open waters semi-useless given the situation.

Secondary Power: Luperentia possesses abilities far beyond the human range, able to detect and track individual signals from across the globe, making it an apex hunting companion when the target is rather specific. It also possesses the unique ability to shapeshift between it’s normal wolf body and a secondary barbarian-esque human form, known from this point onwards as it’s “Beast” and “Werebeast” forms respectively.

Personality: Luperentia, in it’s wolf form possesses intelligence above that of a normal canine, and is able to respond in a rather complex manner using barks, growls and various other means of vocalization. However, even in it’s secondary form it cannot speak, and is left to only grunts, shouts and growls. In both forms it possesses a somewhat quiet personality, only growing playful when prompted, and remaining by it’s master’s side. Though not easily distracted, when bored it can be seen rooting through the dirt or chasing smaller animals. It’s werebeast form mimics some of these behaviors, but demonstrates a much more refined sense of control, wishing to be praised as more than just a dog.

Seraph Profile: Alexandriia (”The Healing Seafoam”) - Healer

Master: Sayaka Miki (The Conception Story)

Primary Power: Ultimate Healing - In an attempt to fulfill her master’s desire for acceptance and belonging among her friends and their newly acquired Seraphs, Alexandriia awakened with not only incredible strength, but a powerful healing ability as well. Within Sayaka, this is a persistently passive effect that regenerates 19,000,000 cells per second as necessary when her master is harmed. However, as a trade-off for this powerful healing factor and her intense strength, Alexandriia herself is suitably weak in terms of defense, and must be careful when in direct combat with other Seraphs. This healing ability also extends to her master’s power to heal her friends, increasing this function tenfold.

Secondary Power: Magic Negation Field - Alexandriia generates a field of anti-magical energy around herself that negates the magical effects of other magi and dampens Seraph abilities. For example, when battling Homura and her Seraph Lilyana, Sayaka is able to resist stopped time as a result of Homura’s buckler, and Alexandriia herself can knock away Lilyana’s projectiles without fear of activating the time bomb within them. This makes Alexandriia quite a force to be reckoned with, though this can also backfire in an unexpected manner, as Sayaka is unaware of the range of this field- and the fact that in her presence, her friend’s healing abilities are severely dampened.

Personality: Alexandriia, like most new Seraphs, is curious and mischievous in the understanding that- she does not know any better. However, her understanding of the world around her grows at an exceedingly fast rate, leading to the suggestion that the Seraph is highly intelligent, despite it’s lack of verbal communication. Alexandriia is protective of both her master and her master’s friends, being very cooperative with Sola, and more on the terms of friendly rivals with Seraphina, who Alexandriia is constantly trying to outdo in an attempt to make her master feel good (though often earns her a scolding when she goes too far). Alexandriia detests Archfiends and Spectres, and is terrifyingly brutal in combat with them in comparison to how she treats witches. She is quick to heal even the smallest of injuries on Sayaka’s person, and remains by her master’s side at all times, attempting to stave off depression, insanity, and despair that begin to encroach upon Sayaka’s fragile mentality in an effort to prolong their existence together for as long as she can. . .

Though the Seraph is incapable of verbal linguistics, she can produce song-like trills and unfurl the fin-like protrusions on her head into a more elegant display when excited or threatened, similar to a frilled lizard. Kyouko often teases that this is Alexandriia’s method of flirting with Seraphina when they play-fight.

Seraph Profile: Bess (”The Assistant”) - Trick

Master: Ayaka Mariko (Magia Record) / (The Rebirth Story)

Primary Power: Something for Nothing / Trick Dimension - Bess is a Seraph who seems to possess an unusually powerful ability in which she can produce random and surreal items from within her own being. While there are some rules, as the object cannot exceed the width of her brim, and must be able to be pulled / lifted from within her by her master to fully come into existence- the shape, density, and even whether the object is inanimate or alive; seem to matter not to the Seraph, as it can produce many, many objects of various shapes and sizes all at once before needing a moment to recharge this ability. Each object created is under the influence of the Seraph’s will and is a native product of the “Trick Dimension” within the Seraph’s being, and will often act in accordance to the wishes of her master. However, objects spawned from the Trick Dimension will vanish in a puff of vibrant smoke if broken or if existing for more than a few minutes, being completely erased from existence.

Secondary Power: Vanishing Act - Bess can temporarily widen/stretch herself when not producing an object in order to swallow up something much larger than herself and transport it to the Trick Dimension. Within the Trick Dimension itself, the Seraph has almost complete control, it’s abilities expanding tenfold and objects it creates lasting forever. However, things not native to the Trick Dimension which exceed the shape and size of a rabbit [Excluding Bess’s Master] must eventually be expelled or they will be lost forever to the chaotic and surreal nature of the Trick Dimension. This ability can be employed by her master as a means of hiding or transport by entering the trick dimension herself.

Personality: Bess is a highly energetic Seraph, often slowly rising and lowering her own crown in a rhythmic bouncing when she is left on a dresser or hat rack by her master. Bess is one of the few Seraphs that can exist in a wide radius apart from her master, and is visible by people other than herself (minus the many eyes) in an attempt to assist with her master’s goal of producing smiles on other’s faces. Bess is also capable of psionically speaking to others, and speaks in a very casual, matter-of-fact and smart-alec manner, but uses polite vocabulary to get away with as much as she can. She gets along well with her master and is always up for a good joke or assisting in some trick, delighting in making those around her happy. She is a highly positive Seraph, and there is very little that can upset her. . .
